Richard jury series by Martha Grimes, Flavia de Luce series by Alan Bradley, Charles Lennox series by Charles Finch, Murdoch mysteries by Maureen Jennings, John Cardinal series by Giles Blunt
I love The Teashop mysteries by Laura Childs, she has a couple of other series that is murder mystery, the Orleans one is scrapbooking themed as the sleuth runs a scrapbook store, and the Cackleberry series is about a group of women running a diner that focuses on egg dishes and they get into murder mystery too..nice cozy stuff with recipes. Another line I like is the Mary Russel and Sherlock Holmes mystery series, it starts with The Beekeeper’s Apprentice. There is a great detective series ..The Cukoo’s Calling and that one was actually written by J.K Rowling under Robert Galbraith. It’s really good and I wouldn’t have thought of Rowling when I read it.
Do you like Cozies? The Cat Who… Starting with The Cat Who Read Backwards. Do you like a hint of the paranormal and a dash of grit? Murder on the Mind by L. L. Bartlett.
Anything by Anthony Horowitz! Magpie Murders or The Word is Murder are his newest whodunnit mysteries and the former is a mystery book about a mystery book, so even better! 🙂
Check out Bob White starting with ABDUCTED, BODY IN THE LAKE, alphabetically on http://amazon.com/ He also has another protagonist, Gabby GIrard. Have fun.
Sara Blaedel, Danish author, writes a great murder mystery series set in Denmark. John Verdon is the author of a really good crime series starting with Think of a Number, about a serial killer. Carol O’Connell writes the Detective Kathleen Mallory series which I enjoy reading.
