Love and Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch. It’s mostly focused on family drama and self-discovery, so 75 or 80% into the book, the protagonist was like, “Oh crap, why haven’t I noticed how handsome my best friend is before? Why is this only hitting me now?”
@Sam how far did you read into sky in the deep, if you don’t mind me asking? I only asked cause I didn’t like beginning but at some point something changed and I fell in LOVE
Well, I’m excited! I love cole sprouse so i can’t wait to watch the movie one day. My issue is that I read all these books but never see their movies even if I love the book, because I am scared I won’t like it ?
I couldn’t do it. I am not hating on Other people, but I can’t see why everyone is rooting for carden and jude to get together when he is nothing but abusive and mean to her. Thanks for the rec though!
The Seven Realms series by Cinda Williams Chima. It’s my all time favourite slow burn romance! Also, The Falling Kingdom series by Morgan Rhodes has one of my favourite hate to love romances.
I tried the falling kingdom series but the incestuous thoughts were a bit too much for me. I want to give it another chance in the future. And I’ll definitely look into the 7 realms! Thanks!
I got through the first half of the book and skimmed the rest. The ending didn’t exactly seem thrilling and enticing so I stopped, but like I mentioned, I’d give it another shot.
@Sarah oh it’s definitely painful ?. I remember the first time I read the first book back in 2009 and feeling like I was going to DIE. It doesn’t get easier after any of the rereads!

Maybe The Cruel Prince? Although I’m not entirely sure how it’s going to end up! Maybe love? Maybe hate?
I’m reading a curse so dark and lonely and it’s pretty good. Beauty and the Beast retelling.

Leah on the Offbeat. It’s sort of like “I don’t like to I love you.”
Do I need to have read Love simon first?
@Sam no you don’t have to. Simon is mentioned but you don’t have to know his whole story
• A Curse so Dark and Lonely
• Frostblood
• The Winners Curse
• First & Then
I love ACSDAL, and you’re not the first to recommend frostblood so I’ll be adding those to my tbr!

@Sam I’m excited to see Cole Sprouse too though I’m a new fan of his. I think the movie will only make the book even better too!

@Sam Haha yes, I definitely know what you mean. I don’t know how far you got in the series, but the issue does resolve. ?
I got through the first half of the book and skimmed the rest. The ending didn’t exactly seem thrilling and enticing so I stopped, but like I mentioned, I’d give it another shot.
@Sam yaaaaaaaas Seven Realms series! Such a slow burn, but the payoff is more than worth it ?
@Caylynn It’s so slow it’s almost painful but so rewarding. ?
@Sarah oh it’s definitely painful ?. I remember the first time I read the first book back in 2009 and feeling like I was going to DIE. It doesn’t get easier after any of the rereads!
@Caylynn Have you read her spin off series?
@Sarah I’ve read the first one. Couldn’t decide if it was worth it to continue after a certain death at the beginning
@Caylynn Haha SAME!! I’m still not over it.
Stolen Songbird, Under the Never Sky, or Poison Study

The winners trilogy
Oooooh following this.
I’d say “A Winter’s Promise” by Christelle Dabos. Extremely slow burn but so entirely engrossing
It’s also hate-to-tolerate-to-attracted-to-infatuated-to-spoilers lol
OH’! And Truthwitch by Susan Dennard!!!
@Kristyn truthwitch is my current fave series!!!
