Highly recommend The ghosts and Jamal by Bridget Blankley. It’s a children’s book but I felt it was more than that and cried buckets…

On a serious note few must read classics.
The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran.
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.
Things fall apart by Chinua Achebe.
Letters to an unborn child by Orianna Fallacci (if you can find it as it’s not on reprint in English).

If you are looking for a light read I would go for any book by Victoria Hislop. My favourite of hers is Cartes Postales from Greece. But if you are looking to cry your best bet is The Island.
The Familiars by Stacey Halls is rather good. And lastly The Finding by Bridget Collins.

Kailyne’s Korner. (Full disclosure…I wrote it.) I wrote it after dealing with the loss of my mom, brothers, and others. This story is about 3 women of different ages and backgrounds who have suffered losses of varying degrees. They form a friendship and work through confusion and grief, You can read some reviews at Amazon.
