@Anne I just listened to this on audible. I read it years ago and thought it slow, but liked it a lot more this go round.

I love a lot of her retellings. I’ve read a few of them multiple times.

Dennis L. McKiernan’s Once Upon A Winter’s Night and the rest of that series.

A Court of Thrones and Roses is a loose retelling of Beauty and the Beast and is amazing. The whole series is, but it does stop being much of a retelling eventually.

We recently saw Wicked on Broadway. Is the book the same story?

@Barbara yes

Not exactly the same. They changed a lot of things to make it work on stage and made it more shallow and more suitable for younger audience. I liked them both but the story in the book is much better.

@Megan thanks! I’ll have to check it out. ?

Well no film, play or TV adaption is always the same…it’s always changed sometimes where it doesn’t really match the source matter (WWZ). And the book is always better. But the play is based on the book Wicked. It’s not a faithful adaption but the gist is there

But it’s so good! I think I read them all!

Wicked? I’m trying so hard. But it feels so tedious. I’m about 200 pages in or so, she’s at boarding school.

It’s been a long time since I read it. I remember enjoying it. I think I liked the 2nd book the best. A lion among men.
