No suggestions here, I avoid tear-jerkers ever since I read Where the Red Fern Grows when I was about 8 years old, on the recommendation of my older brother who told me it’s a great book and assured me there was a happy ending. (He was tasked with reading it for school. I’ve been mad at him ever since. Lol 😉 )
