Women’s Murder Club Series by James Patterson. The first novel in the series is 1st To Die.
Dorian Skwarcan I used to love Patterson’s books but the last one I ‘tried’ to read was awful and I can’t even remember the title. But it was him and another author which I think he’s done several like that. I won’t touch those.

No exit by Taylor Adams. Seriously, I’ve read a lot of the books recommended and none of them come close.
Verity!
Thank you so much. I was really in a funk with the book I was reading. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t keeping my attention.
I have started two on this list and will work my way down.
If no one has said it, the Pendergast series by Preston and child. If you need one that’s gonna suck you in more immediately try the book Still Life With Crows. It is the same series but completely stand alone. The others benefit from being read in order a bit more but this one can be plucked out of order without it mattering. It’s creepy, kept me on the edge of my seat, and had me guessing for quite awhile. It is a fantastic introduction to Pendergast and will have you going back and starting at the beginning!
how do I get the books to read?
I really enjoy Melinda Leigh, she does add romance or family drama as a subplot.
And then there were none.
My Lovely Wife I’m reading now it’s a domestic thriller with a plot that blows away the genre. By Samantha Downing
Beautiful Bad is super good too. Annie Ward I think
We like – Robert Galbraith aka JK Rowling series that starts with Cukoo’s Calling
Drove listening to The President is Missing and was totally engrossed
James Patterson
The Black Box.
Very flowing and gets you from the beggining to the end
Ghost Stories from the Ghosts Point of View. https://www.amazon.com/Ghost-Stories-Ghosts-Point-Trilogy-ebook/dp/B009B1JP1O/ref=mp_s_a_1_fkmrnull_1?keywords=ghost+stories+from+the+ghosts+point+of+view&qid=1553955818&s=gateway&sr=8-1-fkmrnull
The black *Book
Under the dome by Stephen king
@Gordo I have this on my bookshelf but it’s sooooo huge and the writing is tiny, I know it’s won’t do my goodreads reading target any favours as I reckon it will take me a year to read it!
@Julie ugh steady reading it a month lol it’s an amazing read tho
The show’s pretty good too
My lovely wife
@Sam I bought this yesterday. I’m so happy to see it mentioned because I haven’t seen much talk about it… Yay. This makes me happy!
@Yalonda books are great but be warned they aren’t for the faint of heart
Me as well. What’s Verity like I see that mentioned a lot
My review: Have you ever read a book that was so good you were dying to talk to someone about it? Wished you could rate it higher than 5 & then regret almost all the other 5’s you gave out because none come close to that one? That’s where I am at with Verity by Colleen Hoover right now. This book is not for everyone. I see a lot of people not being able to finish it. There’s descriptions of child abuse; murder of a child; explicit sex scenes. But as soon as you get past each one, she releases you from the horror just enough. I had 4 working theories by 40%. None of them were completely right, and I thank our good Lord for that. I’m finding so many thrillers predictable lately that I really needed this one. You may have your own theories but unless you’re one of those psychopaths that skip to the ending, I guarantee you won’t have it completely figured out. When I finished, my mouth was open. My jaw had dropped. I LOVE READING ❤️ BTW this is new AND on Kindle Unlimited right now. I have a feeling it isn’t going to be there for very long.
@Laura thanks Laura. I went to a large box bookstore in Toronto today, where I live. They don’t have it but I am on the hunt. Hope to pick it up soon. Have an awesome day
