Just a suggestion, but you might want to read Backman’s books in order. Maybe read My Grandmother Asked Me To Tell You She’s Sorry before you read Britt-Marie. Not necessary, but Britt-Marie is introduced in “My Grandmother”

Agreed. I was surprised to see so many people suggesting Britt Marie Was Here because I personally thought My Grandmother Told Me to Tell You She Was Sorry was better.

@Rhonda Thx. Just downloaded Britt/Marie so will get My Grandmother first. Is it good?

@Beth I absolutley loved My Grandmother, although she is nothing like my grandmother, the book did take me back to so many fond memories growing up and being raised by my grandmother . I just adore all of Backman’s characters

Flowers for Mrs. Harris (Paul Gallico, 1958 titled ‘Mrs. ‘Arris goes to Paris’ in the US. First of a 4- book series and a total precedent to Ove, Britt-Marie and others). Lovely read.
