I love how books look on a shelf with no covers but feel guilty throwing them away. What do y’all do!?

Literally without the cover, or just the dust jacket on hardcovers? ?

@Anita just loose pages everywhere! ?

@Christina My brother and his fiance restore old books and make custom covers, so if you remove the cover carefully and it was properly glued then you can remove it and have no loose pages ? Many years ago I found a Enid Blyton book without the cover and I managed to read that book without losing any pages ??‍♀️???

just the dust jacket ?

Thank you for asking this! I thought it was literally without the covers and I was so confused, I was like “but how do you know which book is which?” ?

Oh goodness, that’s a tough one! I only take the dust jackets off when I’m reading, and leave them on when shelved. If you don’t keep them, I’d say recycle for crafts, use for scrapbooking, wrap tiny gifts with them!

Maybe you can get a large frame and make a collage of your favorites

I work in a academic library and we have to remove the book covers, but a lot of our sites cut out the fronts and make a collage pin board to advertise what new books we have? It brightens up the plain walls and saves them from just being thrown away.
