I just want to know your opinion. Which format of book do you prefer: eBook or the physical book? Why?

Definitely Physical
Why?
@Dexter I find it very satisfying turning the pages! Ebooks are great for travel but when I’m home I always turn to the physical copy!
Print. I don’t need a charger and it doesn’t die on me if I don’t have one.
Physical. eBook hurts my eyes and nothing beats the new book smell…or general book smell.
But eBooks are cheaper.
Physical, i loathe ebooks (no idea why its just an irrational hate ??♀️?)
I actually read both quite often. I buy hardcovers mostly but use my kindle for travel and at the gym.
Physical book. I like to hold the book in my hand and as I read, see how many pages I have left by seeing the difference between where the bookmark is and the end of the book. Also, I already look at a screen enough as it is at my job.
how about canning it with the abelist crap of choosing one medium over another? you do realize some people can’t see well, right? or may even be blind and require audio books?
but over and over this question comes up as though you want to shame the hard of sight.
@Summer I don’t think this was their intention at all…she asked for people’s opinion.
I think you’ve read way too much into a simple question.
I don’t think you really understand my question.
@Summer over react much? It’s about preference and why, NOT saying one is better than the others at all??♀️
I love both. Each has its charm and convinience. There are times a physical book is best but cmon a thousand books at the palm of your hand is some sort of a miracle.
I actually prefer ebook. When I read a physical book I read about half the speed and get distracted more easily, but with an ebook I am able to focus and really enjoy it. I have no idea why my reading speeds are so different between the two!
I love both. Physical books are something I like to collect, read and hoard like a crazy cat lady! But ebooks are fantastic for the ability to have your whole library with you, download new books anywhere, anytime and you can read in the dark. Additionally I listen to audiobooks when my eyes are sore ??? and when I’m driving or doing something that prevents me from reading physically with my eyes. Yes I do have a problem… thank you for understanding ?
Physical
Physical because they are more comfortable to read, but ebook for the convenience.
I prefer ebooks/audio. Just because I’m on the move constantly and I have a baby… it’s easier for me
Both. Of course I’d love to have a GIANT physical library, but ebooks are so convenient: cheaper books, hold all the books in one place, light weight in my purse, reading in the dark, heck now I can even read under water with my new kindle if I wanted to. I do miss the feel of a physical book and get one every once in a while but I love the convenience of my kindle so that’s what I usually use. I also listen to audiobooks when im commuting tk work, running, and doing boring tasks, But reading is reading. Do what you like best.
Physical book.
I don’t think e-readers are meant for me. I’d probably drop them all the time and have to replace them constantly. It would be expensive in the run.
Physical because there’s nothing like the feel and smell of a book – especially a new one. I’ve been resisting the ebook world for this exact reason along with tradition and the fact that my eyes don’t like too much screen time. However, I recently gave in and downloaded a free book on the Kindle app. Then subscribed to Boobbub emails and now I’m hooked on the great deals and book suggestions! So I will buy physical books from my favorite authors, but continue to enjoy digital stories as well.
I prefer the physical book but being a mom to two little kids that are constantly in my lap, it gets hard to read like that so I’ve been using more ebooks
Physical. No explanation needed
I prefer physical..
But honestly I’ve never read anything in e-book form so maybe I’ll give it a try ?
I only read in bed , so e-reader is Perfect for I hate keep lights on .
But I love collecting books so buying the physical one after reading it is perfect
I feel like physical copy books just make an overall better reading experience, but then again I just ordered my first ereader sooo we’ll see if that changes for me once my reader arrives??
I prefer the physical book. There is something about the the weight and feel of having a book in my hands tht I like – unless I’m travelling, then I use my kindle.
If a book is by one of my favorite authors or part of a series I’ve collected, print. Otherwise, ebook: convenient, I am read at night without bothering my wife if she’s sleeping, and I can always download another, if I finish the one I’m reading at a moment’s notice.
Both.
With ebooks, there’s millions of books to choose from and saves space and they’re cheaper.
I do love physically copies of books as well. I like the feel of holding them and seeing them displayed in my room haha
Physical. The batteries don’t die
My yogurt was pretty thick but I only used half the creamer.
Physical though I don’t always have access to them.
Physical all the way! Though sometimes i read ebooks when i dont feel like carrying a book everywhere and worry if its gonna damage from tossing it everywhere
I prefer physical books, however right now I am facing space issues. I usually read once add to goodreads and pass it on.
With that said, I love finding books on my kindle as well. I like the prices after they have been around for a bit. So I guess I like both, plus I use the library.?
Physical or audiobook. Just love the feeling of a paper book. Audiobooks help to pass the time when cleaning.
I do all three-ebook, audiobook, and physical. If I only got to choose one, it would be physical. Nothing like smelling and touching a book.
I will always prefer the physical book itself and for me, i am sure my feels about actual physical “books” go back to childhood and the memories associated with picking out my own books, reading them and all the happy feels associated as such (the smell of books, pages turning in your fingers, etc).
