I just read Dark Matter by Blake Crouch….so good! Now I’m ready for some fantasy. Please help me decide between The Way of Shadows or Farseer.

I loved Dark Matter! I personally thought the Way of Shadows started out strong but ended with a whimper instead of a bang (meaning the series as a whole). If you’re going to read Brent Weeks check out the Light Bringer series. I think that series was far better then Night Angel but it’s his later work. ?‍♀️ I haven’t read Farseer to compare it as to which is better between Night Angel and Farseer but people seems to be obsessed with Robin Hobb so if I had to guess its fantastic. Idk but good luck! Those are some strong titles you’re playing with!

I second the Light Bringer series, but I haven’t read Night Angel yet. I’d definitely recommend Farseer though. It’s by far one of my favorites.

A lot of people say they didn’t enjoy Night Angel…..I loved it and so has everyone I’ve recommended it to. As said above, LightBringer amazing and the fifth and final book comes out August next year. Robin hobb is a brilliant author and all her books are great, I personally liked the first 3 best

Have you read the graphic novel? That was pretty disjointed and awful. I was glad I read the novels first. That’s the only way I knew what was going onZ

I loved both The way of shadows and Farseer – very different styles . Way of shadows is a bit easier going I found – more actiony.
Then again I hated dark matter so maybe I’m not the right person to be giving you my opinions.. ?

I think I’ll go with way of Shadows first and see if I can get into it. I have a feeling Farseer will be great. Thanks for the suggestions.

I am just starting book 10 of the 16 books that starts with the farseer trilogy by Hobb and I have to admit, this has been an awesome adventure for the length, and the story, and the way it all intertwines. You will be glad whenever you start it 🙂

Tori Lynn It really is, and I was nervous to start a series with this many as it was my longest yet, but I have really enjoyed it, and there are just enough storyline connection between the 5 trilogies that make it up that it’s just done so well. Hobb is really a talented write.

I am on the 16th book, the last of the Realm of the Elderlings series and I agree with Audrea on all points.
