I hate it when that happens… I always follow it up with a book that is completely different genre and style otherwise I find the next is just always gonna be at a disadvantage ? I just finished ‘the things we keep’ by sally Hepworth it was fantastic … maybe give it a go .. good luck !! ?

Like Candice said, switching genres help because then you aren’t comparing it to that one. Also i find reading a series helps, like a palette cleanser to get it out of your system.
