This makes me nervous. Are they that sad?

Melodie Christian have you ever seen his movies? They are all based on his books. I’ve cried at all the movies so I would assume I would cry at the book so I haven’t read them.

No, I don’t watch a lot of tv, I usually read, work, or doing activities to keep my daughter busy

I love all the ones I have read EXCEPT Dear John. I should have known better but that book just makes me furious.

I only tried to read one, don’t remember which, and found it dull and slow.

Always the same plot. Either short Love stories, someone dies, and then you cry. There are a few exceptions.

I’ve only read A Walk to Remember. It was okay, I actually liked the movie better.

I’ve read several of his books and I’ve liked them all! They are usually quick reads and involve a sweet love story that will make you cry, but they can also be very predictable, so some people find them boring.

I have read so many of his books. They all have a similar plot. Fate brings two people together, something or someone awful tries to tear them apart. But always love wins in the end. Even though I know how its going to end, I am addicted to them all lol

I enjoy them. As already stated mostly sappy love stories. I need to read one then take a break from him for awhile. I’ve read a bunch but still have a lot to go because I’d like to read them all

I’m right here with you. I buy them when they first come out but I tend to not read them until the next one is about to come out. Too much sappy will cause me to not read much.

I’m in the minority here. I really don’t like his books or movies. The few that I tried were okay, but it seems like someone always dies and a lot of the time it will be a main character.

Me too. I don’t like them either.

I only read a few and the concept was always them same, story just varied. I haven’t read one in years and never watch the movies. The Guardian I referenced was my favorite of his.

I was on a long flight once and they were playing “Nights in Rodanthe”. It traumatized me.

Me, too. The only one I liked was The Notebook. I read the next 3-4, but they didn’t interest me enough to continue with any other of his books.
