I have a Paperwhite and I love it. I’m not entirely sure of the differences, but the screen is very unlike other screens.

You can change that. Get rid of the crap on the side and bottom and just see the books IF that’s what you mean.
Used to just the kindle app on phone
Mine looks the same then, yes! Maybe once you get used to it?

I have been wanting a kindle oaperwhite for a while now but after seeing this I’m not sure I want it anymore. I’m just so used to the set up of my first kindle fire and kindle fire tablet. I use them both regularly. While one is charging I grab the other.
@Marla sorry to put u off lol wasn’t sure if all e-reader the same. That’s what trying to find out just different maybe need to get used to it
The Paperwhite is definitely nothing like the Fire!
I know I would miss seeing all the beautiful color book covers. Y’all may have just saved me over $100.

I have the Kindle Fire and I absolutely LOVE it! Sadly, I recently demolished the screen. It still works, and I can still read on it, which is nice, but I may have to replace the screen somehow. I’m really saddened by it!
If the complaint is the list on the side and the suggested books at the bottom those can be taken off where all you can see is your books.
How do you do that?
It’s on the screen settings. I took it off my kindle where all I see if the books. I don’t have my kindle on me right now though ?

@Susan I found it by accident. I’m a clicker and a toucher but once I did I was like “I wish I’d done this a year ago!” ?
I love my paper white and have had it for years. I use my fire more for video and movie watching.
