I’m not a John Green fan, but Will Grayson, Will Grayson, which he wrote with David Levithan is a really good book.

I’d start chronological and go with Looking For Alaska.

Thought I’d try some easy lectures! Are they relaxing at least?

Veronika

I would not say relaxing.. just boring(in my oppinion), that’s why I advised you not to read them, but it’s up to you 🙂

Sarah

Yeah I read TFIOS when the movie was out and all hyped up, and I found both really ‘meh’ and disappointing. Not bothered to read another or watch another movie adaption

Turtles All The Way DoWn! I could never finish TFIOS, because of the ‘romance’. And TATWD doesn’t have romance, and is really relatable if you deal with some sort of ‘mental illness’ (being terrified of mistakes, OCD’s ect)

I’ve only read Paper Towns and Fault in Our Stars. Fault in our stars was more emotional, paper towns was slow, but did make me laugh and such.

Read the brief descriptions and decide which one appeals to you most. I started with An Abundance of Katherines because it was a battle of the books book when I was in high school.

I almost want to say “The Fault in Our Stars” but I feel like it sets the bar so high. His other work is still really good but I feel like I made a mistake by starting with that one, as I’m constantly comparing his other work to that

Well let me change that. Read the ones that aren’t sad first so you don’t hate John Green and don’t read his feel good novels. Almost all of his novels involve mental illness in some form. They helped me through mine. For feel good novels: An Abundance of Katherine’s, Will Grayson, Will Grayson (Co written by David Leviathan- must read some of his novels too), and papertowns. For his adventure novel: Turtles All The Way Down. And when you need a good cry: The Fault in our Stars or Looking for Alaska. I haven’t read Let It Snow yet because I was waiting for winter.
