I used to do it but stopped after the pages of my book fell apart. It was a sunny day in summer. I had forgotten the temperature inside a car could get really high.
I had that happen once when I was at the museum I volunteer at. I actually looked so distraught that the staff hunted down a book in their collection so I wouldn’t suffer. (Not allowed phones at the front desk where I normally am – so Kindle app wouldn’t do me any good) ?
I took my book to my moms doc appt today but never got to open it, while we were checking out, I kept looking at it with the silent message, ‘tonite my friend, tonite we read’, lol. Gotta have it.
That’s the best part of having a Kindle – as long as you have your phone, a laptop, or a tablet, you can pick up right where you left off in the book!
As long as you’ve downloaded it already to the alternate reading format or currently have internet/WiFi access.
Yes, you need WiFi or cell service, but you didn’t have to have it previously downloaded.
I always have one in the car to read at appointments or any other time I have to wait. Usually go through a car book about every two months.
I need to do this
Oh that’s a good idea

I feel your pain. But not today about to sit on my 15 minute break with Macbeth
The horror! The horror!
Which is why I started reading on my phone as well, if I forget one book at home I can read another in my phone ??♀️
But I definitely understand the pain ?
Are there no bookstores? Is this appropriate to call 911?
Lol!!! Right!!
Aah hate that.
I always have a kindle in my bag
Nooooo! I always have something to read (or an audio book) on my phone.
Me too!
I keep an extra book in my car in case I stop for dinner.
Phone apps never without a book
Yup! I have read on the kindle app on my phone in a pinch. I typically have both a physical book and kindle with me. Yes I have a problem ?
No it’s called prepared!! ❤️❤️❤️
panic…………….
Oh dear…
Isn’t that the worst?!

There’s always the Kindle app.

Your public library card gives you free access to eBooks,eAudiobooks and eMagazines on any digital device.
That’s why I’m always reading 2: one paper back and one on my phone. Forget one? No worries I have a backup.
So did I. Got 3 days. So I had to buy a couple of new books.
I forgot my phone but had my eReader just now! I was happy!
How do you forget your phone? ??
charging, grabbed everything else. Even my garmin
excuse to buy another
As a back up could I suggest a Kindle app or overdrive? I am never without a book!
Know the feeling!?
I’ve done that before. When I do, then it means I actually have to listen to people talk?
I hate when that happens! I’ve been known to buy it a second time!!
The worst ever!
I’m not gonna lie, when this happens to me I get unreasonably cranky
I’m camping. I should’ve brought a book ❗
Aaaargh
I get mad at myself when I do that cause it always seems that I have to wait no matter where I go. 🙁
Always take 3 on trips, if not end up reading every label I see!!
so true!
This is why I bring my Kindle when on vacation!
What’s the use of going anywhere???
Exactly why I always leave one in my car.
Noooooo!!!!!
