oh yes, very much so. i use both the paper and ebook options there. i do get bummed though some times when i am in a series of an author and they don’t have all the books in the series. but i love the library. i would be lost without it. i love the online option too. the research done away and just put in my hold request….like curb side fast food of books.

@Pamela what? you have 39 books checked out? my library i think has a limit, it isn’t that many….giggling not being a shamer, i am awestruck. wow. how many do you read a week?

@Monty yes they are checked out. We have a limit of 100 items. I try to read 3 books a week but right now it’s the busy time at work so I’m only doing 2 books

I love how my library can get books from other libraries within its “network” too, so that helps me get books that my home library doesn’t have!

My county library system is amazing. There are I think 24 branches and they use overdrive, cloud 3M, and hoopla for digital checkouts. I can find 95% of what I’m looking for through my library.

Unfortunately not 🙁 I’d love to use it, but I live in The Netherlands, so most books are translated to Dutch. There are some English book. but a much smaller selection. And I really hate to read translations of a language I can read myself. If it’s a Polish book or something like that, I can hardly read it, so I’ll read the translation. But I can read English, so prefer the original version 🙂

We love the library!! I have 4 kids, and they love love love the library, too! I rarely read a book more than once, so the library makes sense for me.

Yes I have 2 local libraries I borrow from makes me so happy visiting them. I may be a little book obsessed not to mention I have Kindle with the library apps on it ??. My 14 year old says I needs book rehab because I’m always searching for more.

I always went to the library but as the population grew in my small town the waiting list got longer and longer. Once they called me a year later ? but I do download some for my Kindle.

My main source of hard copies is my local library. I use Overdrive/Libby and Hoopla a ton for audiobooks and a few ebooks. I get daily emails from Bookbub and purchase a few ebooks through them from Amazon or Barnes and Noble. I read on my iPad, so I have both Kindle and Nook apps.

I only buy books that I know that I will read more than a couple of times. That said, I have a bunch of books on my shelves – many were my parents’ books and a lot belong to my daughter. My goal of 2019 is to read as many of the books on my home shelves that I have not already read.

One great thing about Libby is that you can put in library cards from more than one library. If you have the ability to get library cards from more than one place, you can put holds on books at different libraries and the available books is often different.
