@Andrew . She was accused of adultery with several men,one supposedly her brother. It’s now acknowledged that this was just fabrication in order to get rid of her. And the punishment was death unfortunately.
@Indira I am not sure it is universally acknowledged. I think it is highly likely that they were trumped up charges but there is not enough evidence to state that is fact. I would love to somehow discover the proof. I know its weird, and I don’t believe it, but there is a school of thought that she wanted to have a male child with her brother so it would be easier to pass off as Henry’s.
