Now that I read all 1156 pages I’m in the point of collapsing from bookish burnout ?? Take that Stephen.

High five!!! ?‍♀️ biggest page count I have done was this year as well at 1008 pages and that was only because I had the paperback copy of Styxx by Sherrilyn Kenyon. How did you like it?

Intimidating, creepy, yet incredible. Stephen King really went overboard with this one.

I started it 3 times and finished it once! And that was through pure determination and gritted teeth! I normally love Stephen King, he’s written some of my absolute favourites over the years, but I gotta say on the whole that book was not for this guy! I felt like I’d survived a mugging at the end of it and had the physical and emotional scars to prove it! Then you hear he was high while writing most of it and I’m like “really…….err, I’d never have guessed?! ?”

The good thing with finishing a long book is if your next read is like 500 pages you’re happy because it’s “just” 500 ?

Kudos! I started the 45 hour long audiobook earlier this year but I kind of hate audiobooks so I got about 13ish hours in on my library loan. Finally came across a physical copy for cheap so I’m going to try to power through it soon.

I have seen the remake. I have seen the original too before I ever read it. Now that I actually read it, now I can understand the movie better.

I’ve been reading that since January. I was going so slow on it. Months later I finally motivated this. Something I need to improve with big books like these next time.
