Not my favourite book of hers, but I still really enjoyed it. The middle seemed to drag on a bit and the end felt rushed (in my opinion) but that said I thought it was a really good read 🙂

I agree. The ending was rushed.

Maxine

@Wendy a bit predictable and rushed, but a good read all the same (in my opinion lol)

I enjoyed the Great Alone because it made me feel so many things. A great writer can make you hate a character so much but keep you so invested in the story you have to keep going! That’s what this book was for me. I also agree with everyone who says read The Nightingale. ?

My favorite book of 2018! Borrowed it from the library but ended up buying it for my library. Hannah does a great job of describing place/time. I’ve read four of her books now and have enjoyed them all. Have a great read!!

I love Kristin Hannah, but this was not my favorite book. I almost quit several times because I hated one of the characters so much. I’m glad I stuck it out, but not at the top of my list from her.

I’m about halfway. I’m listening to it. One of my favorite books is Coming into the Country by John McPhee. He wrote it in 1991 and Alaskas were still very much like the characters in The Great Alone. She did her homework.
