William W. Johnstone writes a few. I’m not really into horror but I read a couple of his and really liked them. Rockabilly Hell and Rockabilly Limbo. He also has a series “The Devil’s Kiss” being the first. I haven’t read any of those but they sound good.

@Dana love that movie. Never knew it was a book. Just bought it. Many thanks but I blame you for my book shopping bill lol.

@April I mean Hell House by Richard Matheson not The Legend of that is a movie. Scariest book I ever read.

@Dana I was researching it last night I think the movie is based on the book. Richard Matheson even wrote the script for The Legend of Hell House! Can’t wait to read it and see how it differs, since the book is usually much better!

Ghost Story by Peter Straub. Or The Shadow of The Wind by Carlos Ruiz, although it is not “ghost story” but very suspenseful..

Origin by Jack Kilborn/ J.A. Konrath..not sure which name it’s under.
He has many books, that one is more paranormal horror.
Afraid is horror but in a more real way. Pretty graphic.
Graham Masterton has some good ones. Mirror is one of my favorites.
Intensity by Dean Koontz…also a more real horror.
Hell House by Richard Matheson
Ghost Story by Peter Straub

It may not be considered horror, but John Ringo’s Black Tide series is about the zombie apocolypse.

“Fantasticland,” by Mike Bockoven. It’s not Supernatural, but it’s really good. It’s “Lord of the Flies” of millennials at a theme park like Disneyland, after a hurricane. It’s really, really good!

Not really my favorite genre, but I took advantage of The Darkwater Bride by Marty Ross when it was offered as a free Audible Original a couple months back. WOW!
