Frazer Douglas is one of the best narrators I have ever listened to. He narrated The Song of Achilles, and he immersed me into the book as few other narrators have been able to do.

The harry potter books a beautifully done, Maggie Gyllenhaal does The Bell Jar and it was one of the best ones I’ve ever heard. Michael C Hall does great with Pet Semetary. And the Shatter Me series are very well done as well.

Those have been my favorites from this year

Never listen to an abridged audiobook, I just finished an abridged thriller and kept trying to figure who the characters were and why I kept getting confused. Obviously they thought character build up was not necessary!

I’ve enjoyed many audio books over the years to manage a lengthy commute. Now I listen while doing chores or on road trips. I enjoyed the All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness, narration was great. Liked The Cormoran Strike books by Robert Galbraith(J. K. Rowling); Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi with great narration and singing; all of The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo series by Stieg Larssen with excellent narration by Simon Vance, and many others but most recently The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield, also great narration.
