Possibly you might like the early books about Doc Ford by Randy Wayne White. Sanibel Flats is the first.

Really? I love Myron but where do you see the resemblance?

Win? Good lord! I’ve got to disagree!

@Susan I just mean the way he kicks peoples butts

Well he does do that. Win’s one of the strangest characters ever. I would NOT want to date him.

The Gray Man series by Mark Greaney has a similar feel for me.

I love Reacher novels too. Have you tried C.J. Box’s Joe Pickett series?

There’s no one like Jack Reacher, although now he’s Tom Cruise to me. But I love Tom Cruise, so that’s okay. And I think I’ve read everything Harlen Coben has written—.ya know, guilty pleasure, like Tom Cruise movies!! Well, he’s done some serious stuff like Born on the Fourth of July. I had him for Best Actor that year, but it’s hard to compete with Daniel Day Lewis.

Love Reacher. I picture him as Ray Stevenson (Dagonet in the King Arthur movie)

I guess I picture him as looking like Lee Child! Just like I see Elvis Cole as looking like Robert Crais.
