I’m not familiar with the Oasis, but I love my Paperwhite. Simple and elegant.
I have a paperwhite and love it can take it anywhere and there’s no glare love being able to go outside with it.

I have the Voyage which is right in the middle and it is very nice
I don’t think you can go wrong with either, but the Paperwhite probably does everything you need or want and costs much less.

I love my paperwhite. perfect size and love the light up display and the price is very good. From my knowledge the better thing about the oasis is that it is waterproof which I don’t see where that would be beneficial and long and you are careful with the paperwhite near pools and baths and such

Oasis!! I love that I can read it in the bathtub or by the pool. ?
I have both and I prefer the Paperwhite. I like the feel of the Oasis without the cover and love the page turn buttons but the battery life sucks. The battery life is great on the Paperwhite and the price is right, I feel the Oasis is overpriced.
If you can afford a Oasis, you deserve it !!
Paperwhite. The screen is better for reading for hours.
I just looked up the oasis and GIRL! If u can afford it do it!! Its beautiful and waterproof!? Why did I not know about this?? Lol

I own both. The Oasis is nicer, if you can afford it. The Paperwhite is still the best bang for the buck, though.

How do you find the contrast between the two? I’ve been looking and reading a lot, and many people say the Oasis has kinda crappy contrast compared to other Kindles (i.e. text looking more gray than black, esp. with light at higher levels).
@Victoria I don’t notice that. Maybe the complaints were about the original Oasis; I have the newer, larger model. Text looks great at all brightness settings.

I have the Oasis for battery life. It’s also waterproof, so if you read in the tub…. That’s a plus ?
I had the Paperwhite, which I just sold because I got the Oasis. I like it better because of the page up and down buttons and the OS seems smoother to me.

@Donna lighter, a little bigger screen, page buttons, waterproof, Bluetooth capable for audible… Battery is excellent in both. I haven’t charged my oasis in over a week and my Paperwhite could go long periods of time too.

If you can afford it go with the oasis. It’s waterproof!
I LOVE my white Kindle Paperwhite!! It’s lightweight, no glare, looks just like the page of a book, has nice backlighting for reading in the dark. It fits in my purse perfectly. I take it everywhere.

I have both. You really can’t go wrong with either. But I do personally prefer my Oasis over the Paperwhite.
I like the bigger screen, page turn buttons and being able to read while floating around the pool.

I like my Kindle!!!! Now that I got a case for my Amazon Fire 7.
I have both, but prefer Oasis, text is clear, sharper, battery life isn’t that great but it charges very quickly, a full charge took me 20 minute’s yesterday.
I have the kindle oasis it’s great 7″ screen light weight nice size for holding brilliant for reaching outside (no glare from sun) waterproof has audio built in if your into that & it feels more like a book then a kindle xx
I think the battery life is good I hardly have to charge it I can get a whole 2 weeks before I need to charge it the text is definitely clearer & sharper I like how you can change the font & size of text to how you want!
