This is one of the best book series I have ever read. I am up to book 5 on my current re-read, they never get old and the story and characters are just awesome. Can not wait for book 9 (whenever DG gets it finished). Keep going @Rebecca it will be worth it.

If you like time travel along with historical fiction, then you will love “The Machine; First Strike” by W. C. Wallbaum. They travel to many different time periods.

Kinda historical/mystery. The Maise Dobbs books by Jacqueline Winspear. She’s a private detective and it’s set in London right after WW1 there are 10 books so far and the last one is set at the start of WW2. Not strictly historical fiction, but made me think a lot more about WW1.

Between Shades of Gray, Out of the Easy, and Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys. Code Name Verity and Rose Under Fire by Elizabeth Wein, they’re companion novels so you should read Code Name Verity first. She also wrote The Pearl Thief which is set before Code Name Verity, but I haven’t read it yet. A Brief History of Montmaray by Michelle Cooper, which is a series. The precious gems trilogy by Kersten Gier. Crabwalk by Günter Grass.
