It was well written and gave good insight into the lives of women . Ifeel angry about how women are repressed and used and have so little control over their lives. However this book really took the reader into this world and there was a lot of warmth in it. The topic put me off but i am glad i read it and i did enjoy it.

There was humour in it? I guess I missed that every time I read it…!

It was the way she would say things. Her innuendos. She did have a good sense of humor.

An insult to the art of. geisha. Totally inaccurate.

0
Reply
January

@Febinger well as fiction so you can say that about a lot of books. I’m pretty sure the entire Chocolate Chip Cookie murder series is insulting to the police force and very inaccurate for how to run a bakery business.

@January to each their own
She asked what I thought.

what a beautiful and sensible book. exquisite. I remember reading it in two days because it captured my soul. I’ve always loved japanese culture, although I do not agree with everything about it, and this was truly a piece of poetry
