I havent heard of this one.
It looked amazing—lgbt fantasy! Bringing dead people back alive! Great worldbuilding!
But it was a nope from me, unfortunately.
The Darkest Minds. Might just be that the movie has come out and I’m too impatient to finish it before I go see it.
I have that one but I haven’t started it yet. I saw the movie I am not giving anything away but I like it.
I couldn’t finish this book either!
I started this morning and I love it so far! About 3-4 chapters in.
Oh I loved this one found a few bits slow so was a little longer than necessary, haven’t read book 2 yet but is in the next handful of books TBR

I enjoyed the first 3or 4 chapters, but after that it was boring, repetitive, and had no plot.??♀️
I definitely won’t continue the series.

I’ve heard such amazing things about six of crows and for this reason haven’t started it as am worried it won’t live up to the hype
@Candice I was really disappointed by it, and the second book was a waste, in my opinion.
@Bianca oh that’s a shame I bought both books a few months back. I hate it when there is so much hype around books and they just can’t live up to it ?
I’m actually reading Furyborn by Claire Legrande. I have been waiting to read it, but I don’t like the way that it goes back and forth in time. And it starts the book with characters that aren’t even seen again until chapter 9.
I’m currently reading and something about the writing style is just really slow.
@Kyla It’s not the writing style, although it has been slow. Her prologue introduces two characters that don’t show up again until chapter 9. And the chapters alternate between two characters. A past character and a current character. For me, listening to an audiobook, it was frustrating to go back in time when the prologue is in the present.

The host was the one book I can’t get passed. First time I read it I got maybe 20 pages in. The second time I got over a 100 pages in. I just can’t finish it. Its the worst book I’ve tried to read. I sure hope someone likes the book.
The story line has so much potential but falls sooooo short:(

The Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Mass. I don’t dislike the series or anything, I just don’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would.
I couldn’t get past the first three chapters. The main character was awful.
Just read the first book and cant wait to continue the series!

I am currently struggling to get through the first book, I just want to finish it but if i still really dislike it then I am not continuing the series..
@Naomi unfortunately I bought the first 3 books in one hit based on recommendations and found the first one a total snooze, hated most of the characters especially the main ones and it was so unnecessarily long … pages and pages about painting just not my cup of tea (even though it is right up my alley – go figure ??♀️)
@Candice ikr?? People also recommended it to me like you are gonna love it, it is amazing and I am here like only 120 pages in or so and considering it almost the most boring book i have read cuz hardly anything has happened besides the fact that I cant stand the characters… So I feel you 🙁

@Denise idk, it’s been a while. I remember it being repetitive. Some of it falling flat in my opinion.

I loved Shatter Me but the second book in that series was not as good as the first book:/ I’m still going to read the 3rd book when it comes out.
@Denise the third book ignite me is already out and the fourth too. The third is much better than the first and the second combined.
