I am about to finish the Mistborn series and need something next. I am torn between more Sanderson or something totally different. I need help.

Riyria Revelations
Kingkiller chronicles by Patrick rothfuss
I am obsessed with this series already. My favorite!
The answer is always more Sanderson. Have you read the Reckoners? Steelheart. Also if you haven’t begun you should start the Stormlight Archive. Book 3 drops in less than a month
I am caught up on the Stormlight but have not read Reckoners, THANKS!!!
Elise Kova’s Air Awakens series, I second the Kingkiller Chronicles. If you don’t mind YA, the Fablehaven series by Brandon Mull is fun.
I have not read Air Awakens, but have read the others. Thanks so much for the suggestion!
@Audrea I enjoyed it. I’m not really into traditional fantasy. Brandon Sanderson’s writing style kind of bugged me, so I never got through the Mistborn. I also recommend the Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley. It’s about Christianity, Druidism, and an internal struggle between Arthur, Lancelot and the Lady of the Lake. Just amazing
@Sara Awesome – I will check it out.
@Audrea it’s old so you can find used copies
What’s this? Another person who didn’t like Sanderson?? I thought I was all alone in this world!! ?
@Matt I’m glad I’m not alone! I read the first couple chapters and was just not inspired by his dialogue.
@Sara me either. I didn’t like his characters, hated Vin so much, and I just didn’t care at all what happened. I made it about 3/4 of the way through before giving up. I tried Way of Kings too but same thing. I actually enjoyed the prologue of that book but then I was bored out of my mind as I got into the rest of the book. I wish I liked him. He has so much material
Wheel of Time.
Started by Robert Jordan but finished by Brandon Sanderson.
Should satisfy your torn cravings.
awesome, thanks!
15 books though.
LOL
Steelheart is excellent
Read my book: The Chronicles of Crallick. November 15th. Preorder available now in digital format on amazon.
Looks like it may be Steelheart next – but please keep the suggestions coming!
Coldfyre Trilogy Or Magister Trilogy by CS Freidman might be enjoyable. I really liked them and looking at the comments it seems you’ve read most of the other biggies! Foundation series if you want some Sci-Fi. With those you’ve got a good 11 books to get through between it and Robots
Coldfyre trilogy is one of my favorite series of all time
@Brandon you’re like the 2nd person I’ve ever seen that knows what it is! A shame because I love it too
I’m currently reading the First Law series by Joe Abercrombie and loving it!
Anything by Joe Abercrombie. Sand Dan Glokta is the most interesting charecter I have ever read.
First Law is such a great series. Have you read the Demon Cycle? Like it as much as first law.
@Audrea no I haven’t. Maybe I’ll read that one next! Thanks for the recommendation ?
@Peter such a complex character, one of my favorites for sure!
Kings Dark Tidings is an excellent series.
The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch and Night Angel trilogy by Brent Weeks.
Did you get into the Alloy of Law and the other spin offs of Mistborn? They’re pretty good.
No, I’ll check into these. Didn’t know about them. thanks!
The Demon Cycle by Peter V. Brett (5 books)
I love this series! May be time for re read.
I liked this but for some reason I’m not rushing to pick up the last book.
I think it went a book too long
The lightbringer series by Brent weeks is good aswell, I also like a couple of older series that I still find entertaining like the song of the lioness by Tamora Pierce , or david eddings belgariad series. I also quite like the Trudi canavans Black magician series and for lighter reading the rangers apprentice series or the iron Druid books .
