As much as I can. It depends on my schedule. Love to spend a whole day reading like I did yesterday, but it rarely happens. I started a new book last night, got to chapter 5? Had to put it down, which I hated to do, as it was from my favorite author. Her ARC. But had an early morning. And have a busy day, so probably won’t be able to get back to it until tomorrow. 🙁

Seeing as how I listen to audiobooks when driving to and from work, I’d have to say 4-5 hours a day of reading.

My reading time is inconsistent. I can go several days without reading anything at all, and then I go on a binge where I can get through a book in no time. One of my reading goals for 2018 is to be more consistent in my reading habits so I can enjoy more books, especially since my book backlog is starting to become overwhelming.

This last year or two up until a couple weeks ago I was spending much of the waking day reading. Maybe 10 to 15 hours many days. I read the works of Michelle Connelly, Sue Grafton and Harlan Coben in a day or two days each in many cases. The same with many other writers. Non fiction takes me much longer and some non-thriller novels as well. I may have passed that phase and am spending more time writing (Last week , I wrote a story over 9,000 words in one 24 hour period while taking a long break. Never did that before.) I think the amount of time i spent reading this last year is excessive, but I am retired and enjoyed it.

hmm depends. If I’m holding a book in my hands, it depends on how long it takes me to finish it.

If I’m listening to an audio book? probably 16-18 hours.

SO I guess its about the same for an audio book xD

I’m retired, so my time is pretty much my own. I’d say 2-3 hours during the day, and then another at bedtime. If I’m particularly engrossed in a book, just breaks to get a cup of coffee or tea.

It varies with how I feel and how busy I am day to day. I have brain fog a lot so it’s hard to concentrate some days. Also I’m studying towards a Classics and English Literature degree with the Open University so I need to do a certain amount of studying every day as well as reading for pleasure.

Not enough. Full time job (math teacher for 7th and 8th graders which can be challenging, stressful, rewarding, and exhausting) part time job, a 12 year old pug, 8 year old daughter, a husband that works shift work, household duties, helping my daughter with homework, grading papers, and lesson plans are all a part of my daily routine. Once my daughter goes to bed I have a few minutes of me time before I fall asleep wherever I sit.

I know how that is. I worked full time and raised 4 boys several years by myself after my divorce. I did try to read but there just didn’t seem to be any time. Now my boys are raised and have kids of their own and I’m retired. Still very busy but finally can read especially at bedtime. Your time will come too. ?

I have plenty of time in the summer. If only I could find someone to pay me to stay home and read then life would be perfect.

Not including sleeping or working, I’m always reading. So three-four hours.

it varies … depends on if we have stuff going on that day, or running errands, or if my pain level is really bad (kinda difficult to concentrate when I’m hurting a lot) …. if I haven’t had a lot of sleep …. I like to do a couple of hours, even if broken up .. doesn’t always work out that way though LOL
