WOW! . . . and . . . how? Are you a super speed-reader?

1
Katie

@Julian actually no. I moved and wasn’t working for while so I had a lot of free time. I don’t really watch tv either so that leaves a lot of time to read.

0
Julian

@Katie Still, I bow down to thee! I am not worthy oh great and powerful Page-Master. Hehe. Any recommendations for a sci-fi / challenging fiction fan?

1
BotsheloQuestion author

That’s good!

1
Katie

@Julian hmm, I have very eclectic reading tastes. For sci fi, I read tons of steampunk, post apocalyptic/dystopian fantasies, some high fantasy and a ton of urban fantasy. If any of those interest you, I can definitely recommend my favs ☺️

Are people ‘skim’ reading? Counting kids books, or are these all novels! How can there be enough time in a day to read so many!!!

4
Reply
Marge

I don’t have a lot of time so haven’t read that many. Or maybe I’m a slow reader!

1
Carmel

@Marge I’ve read 2 this year. I’m apparently a really slow reader!!

2
Amy

I am on #3 right now. 😀

1
Christy

That’s what I always wonder! I don’t know how it’s possible to read 100+ novels in a year! I set a goal of 24 and feel like I’m going to struggle to make it.

2
Maria

I found my tribe on this part of the thread!

Maybe some people are doing audiobooks.

1

Idk…around 25? I started school again this semester so I didn’t really nearly as much as usual. That and I have been writing and binging a ton of new shows. I need to stop! lol

That’s almost 1 book per 1.5 days, how????

0
Anupama

Wowww!! How? 🙂

0
Naaz

I read fairly quickly and I always carry a book with me wherever I go so I can sneak in 5-10 minutes here and there during the day. I also read at least a couple of hours every evening after work and even more at the weekend. I haven’t been watching much TV this year and that’s definitely made a big difference. That’s pretty much it ?

2
Eveline

@Naaz that’s very impressive! I’d like to read for hours at night but I fall asleep as soon as I start reading after 8pm ?

1
Naaz

@Eveline Haha, I’m the opposite! I always tell myself I will get to sleep at a reasonable hour but it’s always ‘just one more chapter’ ? Regret it every morning!

1
Syra

i had a target of 100 but drill it down to 50 then because i thought 100 in a year is insane but you are already there , Just Wao

Just One Question How!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

0
Sari

Well, I like read and every night I read 1-3 hours before I go to sleep. And if I have breaks at uni or need waiting my friends, I read my e-books or book which is in my bag. ?

0
Maria

@Sari Wau! Mimmosia kirjoja etupäässä? Onko jotain suosikkeja ehdottaa tältä vuodelta?

0
Sari

@Maria, luen laidasta laitaan kirjoja. Goodreadsiin merkitsen. Anu Kuusenoksan Prinssi jolla ei ole sydäntä, keskeneräisenä itselläkin toistamiseen oleva Montefioren Romanovit 1613-1918, Switched N.R. Walkerilta, Hagio Moton the Heart of Thomas, Kylmäkorpi-kirjat Jasu Rinneojalta yms. Monia kirjoja ja Goodreadsissa tosiaan itsellä merkattu yli 3000 luettua kirjaa vuosien varrella. ?
