10+ A few heavy ones taking their time, a few that I’ll read in a day or two, a few short story or poetry collections, one or two that I put down for a month or so because I had a hard time getting into them, etc.

I like to have books from non-fiction (history or science), fiction, YA, and classics going at a time. You?

0
Cheryl

Usually 2 non-fiction, 1 YA, 1 “mystery/crime”, 1 drama (eg: Jodi Picoult) and 1 fantasy/paranormal

0
Cheryl

Sometimes a cheesy romance in the mix if one of the others are “heavy” and sometimes a classic because I feel like I should

0
Robert

Cool. I’m reading a lot more historical fiction lately.

0
Cheryl

Historical fiction is actually a new found love for me. I never thought I would enjoy it and then I read a “retelling” of the Robin Hood story (I am pretty sure it was called Hood) and I LOVED it! So I group historical fiction in the mix

0
Cheryl

Oops pushed enter too quickly!
To finish the above sentence, I group historical fiction in the mix based on whether it is mystery, romance or drama type of story.

0
Robert

Hood. I’ll have to check that one out. Read one called The One Man, which was amazing (infiltrating Auschwitz to get out a prisoner). I’m going to read one by the same author called Saboteur.

0
Cheryl

Sounds very interesting, I will definitely check it out. And I looked back over my “read” shelf and the book is called Outlaw, not Hood! By Angus Donald. Sorry, knew it was one word but couldn’t remember that one word. Lol!

0
Robert

Spent 2 hours trying to find Hood….KIDDING! Went to the library today, and my current reading list is, like, 14 books. Wow. Why do I do this to myself?

1
Cheryl

I am in the same boat! I think I have 10 ready to read when the 6 I am currently reading are done. Lol

1
Robert

Whittled it down to about 10. Had some children’s books in the pile, too.
