Somewhere between 1 and 6. More if I don’t have to work. But I work anywhere from 39 to 60 hours a week on a typical week.

I listen to audiobooks when I’m working (I’m an embroiderer and work from home) so maybe 1 audiobook each week depending on length. I also read maybe a couple of books a week as well.

Depends on how much reading time I have, plus the number of pages in a book. Also if it a fast read, or a slower read, which depends on the author’s writing style. ☺ There’s a lot of to take in when reading a book, the biggest thing being the number of pages, and my time for reading, it’s 1-3 usually. ☺Plus working hours, cleaning the house, laundry, cooking, baking. Yuppers lot of things, besides reading.

Are these short stories? Curious how someone can read that many & still have time to do normally daily functions lol.
I thought I read a lot ?

There is just no possible way to read (at a minimum) 6240 books a year.

Depends on what life has thrown at me that week.
Most weeks I average a book a day, 7/week.
Some weeks I’ll read up to 3 books a day, 18-25/week.
I also listen to 1-2 audio books each week, depending on how much traveling I’m doing that week.

Taking into consideration I have 3 jobs and work between 8-13 hours a day with a full day off every two weeks, I get in maybe one book a month and 3-4 audiobooks as I drive 2-3 hours a day.

How do you guys do it? It takes me at least a month to finish one book.

4
Reply
Balquis

@Subramanian I’m reading the replies wondering the same thing!

0
Trisha

@Subramanian i often snatch a few minutes here & there during the day, while waiting for appointments or while in the car waiting when I pick my daughter up, etc. you’d be amazed at how quickly those minutes add up to full chapters.
I also don’t watch much tv, so in the evening I usually read for a few hours.

1
Taylor

@Subramanian Same here. I’m sooooo slow. I would love to be able to read 2+ books a week but it’s a huge accomplishment for me if I get one done in a week. ?

0
Subramanian

@Balquis Great 🙂

0
Subramanian

@Trisha I’ll try some of your pointers that would help me to read more books. Thanks Trisha Wicklund 🙂

1

That sounds great in my books if you can complete a book in a week unlike me where I could only manage 1 per month. Thanks Taylor faith. 🙂

I work and read for work (and grade, and make lessons plans) but for leisure reading I usually read big novels or novels in my 2nd language, so 1-2 per month.

0
Reply
Taylor

@Andrew what’s your second language? Thats really cool. I’ve studied Spanish for a long time so one of my goals is to read a book in Spanish. ?
It takes me a longgggg time to get through a page though ?

0
Andrew

Taylor Faith English is my first, I studied Russian, then Spanish and dabbled with French. I teach college Spanish language and lit courses. I read both English and Spanish for fun. But I think that reading Spanish keeps my language skills polished. And one never stops learning a foreign language. I’m always coming across a new word, phrase. <3
