So many started. Right now I have at least 4 paper books and 4 kindle books. And I work at a book store. @The! I start lots of books there so I can tell customers if it looks interesting. So many books!!!!! Never enough time. The best dilemma.

Just finished one and have two going…has anyone read “life after life”by Kate Atkinson? It is a book club pick and I find it a difficult book to follow….

Yes hard to follow but so worth it. Think reincarnation.

I felt the same way and gave up after trying to read it quickly for book club a few yrs ago. I wasn’t enjoying reading so much at that time.

One at a time now… The ragged trousered philanthropists by Robert Tressell

I used to read one book at a time but I’ve recently started with two and it’s not as hard as I thought it would be. It’s nice to read two completely different genres at the same time.

I have many, many unfinished ones I mean to get back to at some point. I’m trying to finish the most recently started one before beginning or finishing others, so that it doesn’t just become another unfinished book when I get distracted by something else.

4. A friend once said to me that she didn’t know how I can read more than one at a time as she found it “weird”. I’m glad I’m in good company with many of you.

No weirder than watching one tv show and then another.

Christine

I agree! Thanks for that, Jane!

I don’t wear the same outfit every day. Why would I want to only have 1⃣ book going? I always have a light mystery for when I am tired…. An audio for mundane tasks around the house and in the car.. An historical fiction to be entertained while learning something And a nonfiction.

Just two. It was 3 but I finished The Girl on the Train last night. I started Hillbilly Elegy and can tell that. Am going to love it. I will no doubt put the biography of Queen Victoria away and stick with Hillbilly Elegy.
