I usually just catch up on some of my shows (cant keep up with books and shows at the same time) and then after a few days of that I’ll feel like reading again. It doesnt happen often though. I could read forever lol

I wait it out, usually. Sometimes rereading an old favorite helps, or trying something quick and light. But lately, I just have to not force myself to read because then it gets worse, and follow one of my other hobbies for a bit. Then the reading bug comes back with a vengeance.

I always re-read an old favourite. It works every time.

I learned to not pressure myself and just kind of wait it out. This way the slump goes away a lot faster than when I would try to force myself to read. An old favorite can help though, but only short light reading.

I either take a break and pursue my other hobbies or I will pick up a short read.

I usually read a graphic novel and that seems to help and reset my reading.

I let it pass I. It’s own time. I don’t stress over it, I just redirect my energy to something else and when I’m ready to read again the slump will go away. Life is all about balance enjoying the time you have on this planet.

If there’s any children in your life, read to them. They’ll be excited to spend time with you and share a fun book! May jumpstart your own excitement to pick up a new read.

try something different like graphic novels or comics. try writing emails, letters or postcards to friends or family. the joy of writing will bring you back to reading. but please ask guilt to stay away. it will come back to you.

or you could also see this as your mind/soul asking you to take a break from reading for a while and do something different. you’ll come back to it. have faith. 🙂
