Goodreads! I actually have a list for books I own but haven’t read and books I don’t own yet, but want to read. That way, I can keep a log of all the wonderful books I hear about through this site before I actually buy them. ?

All my books are kept in alphabetical order. My TBR are kept on separate shelves.

I use a database program called DEVONthink as a library system. I don’t have a specific TBR pile. I read 10-12 books at once (varying genres) and start any new ones from my shelves that have been on my mind. ?

I’m a bit old fashioned. I have a tiny little notebook in my bag. All books listed alphabetically by author. And I now have about 400.

Here’s an idea. Take a piece of paper and a pen and write them down.

Cynthia

Umm yeah, if I did that, I would run out of paper very quickly. I have read over 1100 books since I started recording them on Goodreads (more than 200 this year). That would be a very, very, very long list.

Memory, however mine is so unreliable and I read so many books that I often duplicate them, maybe its time for a new system!

Try goodreads. You can add friends, make your own lists, read reviews, set challanges, win books and much more. All for free ? can you tell how much I love this app? ?

I got fed up of buying what I thought looked like a good book, only to get home and discover I’d already bought it, just hadn’t got round to reading it yet, so I set up an Excel spreadsheet on my computer, printed it out (the led hand photo is the first page of a list of books I have or am looking for and it’s two A4 sheets long!!. The second page is an alphabetical list of authors I follow or am looking for. The highlighted authors means I’ve read all their book and am waiting for them to publish their next.

LOL 🙂 – thank you. I have to admit to being a spreadsheet freak at times and I love to play about on my computer, but it does serve a useful purpose, as when I now visit any bookshop I have this in my bag and I can refer to it to find books I’m specifically booking for. It only took me a few visits to realise the importance of having it alphabetical too to save me dotting all over the shop 🙂

I really don’t keep track. And yes, I have accidentally reread a few books but if I liked them the first time, I usually like them the second time. ?
