Authors approach you if you are a blogger and if you promote their book. Also , you can apply. Sometimes they have a link on goodreads sometimes on their website.
I’ll have to check out goodreads authors more then! Thanks! I have a few reviews on goodreads but I prefer to hand write them, will have to dedicate some time to typing them out! Thanks!
Review books. I started on Goodreads, Amazon and my blog. I get arcs through Netgalley and Edelweiss. Recently, since my reviews have taken off, I get them from publishers
Importantly, just review what you read and they will see that and trust you with their books.
Start with Netgalley and work your way up. Get a goodreads account, review on amazon, and eventually once you’ve gotten to the point where you have a certain amount of reviews written, you can email publishers and be asked to be put on their blogger lists.
If you’re on insta check out following tags #bookish #bookdragon #bookstagram etc and if you find anything that my tickle your fancy, check if author is independent. And if he (she) is – you’re in luck big time. Most of them need more reviews, so just message them, saying something: Love the sound of your book etc, Any chance you have any e-ARCs left (or you need more reviews)?”I bagged myself a few books like that 🙂
I just saw your response below. One of the books in the blogging opportunities is YA dark fantasy – about angels if I am correct. Might be right up your street 🙂
I love super naturally ones, classic ya and war and uprising, some of my favourite books are skulduggery pleasant, rebel of the sands, red rising, throne of glass etc. But I really like anything to be honest! 😀
I work with authors and they are always looking for reviews . Everything from diet to business to YA fantasy. Let me know if you want a list of actual titles I can get you!
I’m going to be looking for ARC readers in about 2-3 months for my upcoming MG fantasy book, The Land of Unlived Dreams. If @Amanda, @Brandi, and @Kristy are okay with it, I could copy and paste the blurb to see if this is the type of story any of you would be interested in being an ARC reader for.
Hey everyone, since @Amanda liked my last comment on this thread I’m taking it as a green light to share more information with you. If I’m mistaken, then please let me know and I’ll delete this comment right away. If the following blurb sounds intriguing to you and you want to be an ARC reader for the book, then feel free to send me a pm so I can get your contact information?
To save their dad, two kids must survive a magical world where anything is possible…
Soji Fairburn wants nothing more than to give her father hope. After the ten-year-old’s mother passed, her dad’s aspirations vanished without a trace. When she’s told of a magical world where lost dreams roam, she ignores her older brother’s objections and dives right in…
As Soji and her brother explore a fantastical realm, they gather the strangest friends along the way: a detective, a smuggler, and even a samurai. But their combined strength might not be enough to defeat a villain bent on turning their quest into a nightmare.
Can Soji restore her father’s dreams, or will an unspeakable evil stop her from living out her own?
The Land of Unlived Dreams is a magical middle-grade adventure. If you like cool characters, daring rescues, and traveling to captivating fantasy lands, then you’ll love IQ Malcolm’s enchanting tale.
I enter giveaways and browse through book publishers pages. They usually post when they have ARCs to giveaways in exchange for review and social media exposure
I’m an author and I have reader copies to share! Books 1 and 2 of my new fantasy series came out this year, and I’m always looking for reviewers 🙂 Feel free to comment or message me if you’re interested. If you want to check out my books, they’re on Amazon–Merciless by Jacqueline Pawl.
