Nay I read up until the 5th or 6th book and no characters grew. They all acted immature. I couldn’t keep going. Luckily if you do start the series is complete. When I was reading it the books had a year between publishing it felt. Its very high school so if that’s what you’re in the mood for dive in and enjoy otherwise I’d pass.
It starts off strong, with good world building, good characters, and great promise..But after a few books it starts to REALLY go downhill, though it was tolerable to me and I still enjoyed it til the last few books. But it just goes on and on forever. They milked it at the end and you could tell. The novellas arent bad. Except Kalona’s fall. (this explains the fall of one of the main characters that appears in like book 3 or 4) I recommend avoiding that unless you want to get homicidally angry with the goddess in the series.
Honestly, I’d give it a try if you’re interested, just be prepared to possibly be really disappointed by the end. If you’re a person who cant not finish a series (like me) you might think twice though.
It had so much promise and the first couple books were pretty good. The series could have been so much better. I totally agree with you. Although I stopped at book 6 and didn’t read the novellas.
It really could have been better. I somehow managed to read every book, though I’m not sure how, and I was really disappointed in the last book. I was hoping they’d at least give it a better ending, but that just felt lazy. The novellas Dragons Oath, and, I wanna say, Lenobi’s Vow, were pretty good. Then I believe there’s Neferets Curse, which, wasnt horrible, but eh. And Kalona’s fall made me hate Nyx in a way I wouldnt have guessed possible. To be fair, I didnt actually finish it. But thats because I couldn’t. One of the few books I’ve been able to not finish, and not be driven insane. That book combined with the ending of the series made me want to see her die a horrible death. Considering I loved her in the beginning, thats saying something.
@Lorna yeah about the future zoey and the gang. They all return to the tulsa HON and think neferet is trying to escape but it turns into this whole multidimensional mess
The first 5 books were alright, but after that it was the same things that happens over and over again. I never finished the series, I came to book 10 and then gave up
I agree it drags on but I loved it anyway. I’m glad it dragged on, lol I loved the characters I loved the concept. I wanted to be a part of that world so bad when I was really into it.
I stopped in the middle of the series because I didn’t want to wait for the rest of the books to be published. But I just bought the rest of them and am going to reread and finish.
Loved those books! Great series!
Nay
It’s such trash, but I still love it regardless
12 year old me screams yay
Love it!!!!!
Starts off strong and goes downhill with every book. By book five, it was painful
Agreed! I stopped reading them probably book six or seven. Lost interest
their concept of what a vampire is and all that is not my cup of tea; the first two books were okay but then its just nay for me tbh
I enjoyed the first couple but felt like they got worse and worse. A lot happens very quickly and there’s little to no character development.
Yay
I liked the first few. But i stopped reading somewhere around book 5 or 6. Just felt like it wasn’t going anywhere
I read the whole series about 3 years ago and LOVED it. I loved every book…..so a big fat YAY from me and I know my daughter feels the same way
I might just reread them. I miss all the characters so much
I read the first 3 years and years ago and lost my taste for it.
Nay, it’s horrible and goes on way too long
A guilty pleasure series… like the morganville vamp series. Kinda embarrassing, but you cant help it ??
Nay, 1st few books are ok it after that super repetitious.
Nay
Yes.
Yay for the first couple books and then hard nay for the rest
First few yes… after book 5 or 6 I got bored
Yay!

Nay omg I suffered through 9 books of that and it was 9 too many
I’m thinking of rereading the first book next year

@Rose i really enjoyed it , just long drawn out
I guess there’s bound to be people who enjoyed it through to the end, but I’m certainly not one of them.
I agree with this. I was super excited about the series for the first few, then struggled through a few more, than totally quit.
Yay! My favourite YA series of all time.
i loved them!
@Brooklyn @Sorrel
Absolutely yay! ??
Yay!
No, it’s good at first but towards the end there are many problems.
Nay
I only managed to get through 2. The characters just really annoyed me.
If you can like toootally deal with like stereotypical teen talk than you totz might like it. Duh!
But I got through one chapter and wanted to tare out my eyes. Every single time I see those books I want to burn them all.

I made it to book 10 I think, then gave up
Nay
I loved that series ????
Yay! Absolutely yay. This was my first ever series. Got me into reading actually.
The first five or six books were pretty good. But then (for me) it slowed down.

Awesome series
YAAAAAYYY
Yes even though it has its ups and downs I really love the spin-off series.
Yay loved it
For me, this series was a nay
We my 2nd book series to read after twilight. Loved it!
Meh. They act more like sexually active 13 year olds insted of 16-20 year olds. Kind of annoying.
Yyyyeeessss!!! ❤️❤️❤️
When i first read it yay, but then it got dragged out and became an eh.
Now, i’m not so sure id still like it
@Lisa agree
It’s okay, definitely aimed to younger audiences (maybe 6th grade and up?) but I think it’s worth a read
@Victoria Hahaha I hope not. I recall an attempted blow job scene between Aphrodite and Erik. ?
Victoria Carefoot BUT I probably enjoyed them more when I was 18 than I would at now 28, so you might be on to something ??
@Serene lol I got to the fourth book in sixth grade, but then again, I was reading books I shouldn’t have ?
@Victoria HAHAHA I love it! Hey, we all gotta learn sometime I guess ???
Starts out ok. And goes down hill fast and gets really bad
Yay
Yes ?
Yay, definitely yay
Nay all the freaking way to Antarctica.
YAS!
Nay, overall. It was reasonably entertaining up to about book 11 when it truly tanked and I gave up.
Nay. The firsts couple of books interesting, then is always the same story in all the books. Could have been finished in 4 books
@Alessia no idea why the helll went 12 books
I personally loved them, there were a few weaker ones but I still loved them 🙂
Eh, they were okay, but the series is just dragging on tbh ?
Yess
I really enjoyed the series!
enjoyed the first few books but ended up dnfing the rest of the series.
Well written for the most part but nah/nay for the length(of series)
Yay
The first 5 books were alright, but after that it was the same things that happens over and over again. I never finished the series, I came to book 10 and then gave up

I read it when I was younger and loved it.
I love it so far (I’ve only read up to book eight, Awakened)
Nay
Yay
Yay
yay
Loved the series until a certain point
Nay
Loved it, but it was definitely stretched thin. It could have ended books ago.
In my opinion it was poorly written. The storyline was all over the place and the main character was just shallow. But that’s just me.
Yay
I stopped in the middle of the series because I didn’t want to wait for the rest of the books to be published. But I just bought the rest of them and am going to reread and finish.
I love her Goddess Summoning series!
Yes. Super good.
Huge yay! I regret tossing my collection years ago!
Super huge yay!!!!! ??
Yay!
Definitely yay I have all of them plus the two newest ones loved and lost
Defiantly!! I got HOOKED on them throughout high school and still read them now!
Yay!
Def nay. Not worth it. It gets too ridiculous
Yay I myself have read the series and totally enjoyed it. For some they may consider it as a fast read
