@Dawn I have over 1100 books in my Good Reads account, I have them all sorted and shelved by the kind of book. So I can pull from my library when someone wants a specific kind of book.

1
DawnQuestion author

@Shirley I love fantasy and historical fiction. I’ve been reading books based on fairytales too lately. I don’t like books that r too sad. Hubby doesn’t like seeing me cry my eyes out like when I read Boy in the Striped Pyjamas!

0
Shirley

I know what you mean I read The Alice Network and cried all way through the book. some good historical fiction that wasn’t too sad but I really enjoyed was the canteen series by Sara C. Putman. The first book is Canteen Dreams. It is about girls during the war holding a canteen for soldiers on the trains passing through. Sweet romance..clean fiction. I did like them a lot. One more series was The workshop girls series by Rosie Clarke. The first book was Lizzie’s secret. They were also clean fiction about the 2nd world war. Good books but not graphic. Also the books written by Diney Costeloe were very good.
