Ehhhh I just read the 1st one a few months ago and I don’t get all the hype. My 10 year old doesn’t even have any interest in finishing the series. I think it just depends on what you like.
Defintely worth it!!! They change as you age,as far as meanings and what not! First read in seventh grade and I’m now 31 and still read them(now sharing the joy with my nephews!)
Could never get into it, but bought every one, even queued at bookshops to buy some of them, as my son then 11, an avid reader and HP fan. As a teacher I saw boys read HP and they had not had a book in their hands for years. A number of the boys continued to read. HP captured the interest of a lot of young people, and they became readers.
Reading Harry Potter again for the zillionth time. Wonderful series. Now buying the illustrated editions. Don’t be a Muggle. Join the amazing Wizarding world of Harry.
100% worth buying! It’s totally a culture! Each book gets better. Here in South Florida and I think in other states as well, some of the orchestra theaters will play the movie and the orchestra will play the score to the movie. It’s quite awesome. Definitely worth getting into.
Really? They cut so much out, I have no idea how people figured out what was even going on in some of the movies without reading the books. In fact, I personally had to explain what was happening to some of my friends.
Oh yes. And the audio version with Jim Dale is wonderful and kept my then, young children, entertained in the car all the way from NJ to Illinois to visits to Grandma.
Yes yes and yes. They are my favourite books and I have numerous copies.
