Harry Potter is absolutely worth reading. Maze Runner – meh, I felt it was only just okay. I did finish all of them but I never was like omg I love them.

Read both and, although I enjoyed the Maze Runner books, I ADORE the HP books! Read the first one when it came out in ‘97 and re-read the whole series at least once a year, if not more!

I’ve read “Maze Runner” and the novella “Maze Runner Files”. I’ve just started “Scorch Trials”. Maze Runner had very short chapters and there was a cliffhanger at the end of every chapter, so it was exhausting to read (maybe a bit like running the maze yourself?). I really liked it though and look forward to more cliffhangers in “Scorch Trials”. “Harry Potter” is one of my all time favorite series. I read and listened to the audios several times.
It took me a long time to agree to read the Harry Potter series (my mom is a middle school English teacher and wanted me to read them), but they are SO worth it. I couldn’t put them down once I started.

My TBR list is monsterous so I don’t generally re-read books. I’ve read the HP series 4 times. I used to read it in the middle of the night when I woke up stressed and anxious. It’s a wonderful world to visit.
I’ve heard so many good things about it from friends. I going to start after I finish the series I’m reading.

Harry potter is better in my option there are tons of better dystopia books than maze runner. Well known ones like hunger games I like selection, delirium matched, red queen far better than maze runner for dystopia books

Haven’t read all of the HP books yet, but it’s better than the Maze. I barely made it through the first one and couldn’t read all of the second.

I read both, but i prefer maze runner to Harry Potter.. yet James has been fired from his publisher for “misconduct “ so i think people are boycotting his novels now.

I guess Harry Potter could be considered way better than Maze Runner. But I’m not a big fan of either
I loved The Maze Runner.
It wasn’t bad, but after the third book I got stuck, so in all fairness i don’t know how it ends. i’m more of a Hunger Games or Pride and Prejudice type of gal.
Hunger Games was pretty amazing as well. And I love the pride and prejudice movie but I couldn’t get into the book?.

I’ve read both. I really like them both. So I can’t help you pick, overall Harry Potter was better developed. But they are very different and I can’t compare, so I’ll tell you to read them both.
If you like apocalyptic stories then go for Maze Runner but if you like magic more then go for Harry Potter
only ever read HP series. but Maze Runner is on my tbr list

I read the Maze Runner series and thought it was amazing
I read one HP book and was like this isn’t even worth trying for the next, it was just too elementary school for me. Even my 10 year old who was super excited for it didn’t want to read book 2.

Lol I just don’t get all the hype. I read it with my daughter and we were both very disappointed as everyone makes a huge deal out of it.
I like her world building just not her writing style.

I couldn’t stand Maze Runner, it was really juvenile. Harry Potter is great.
Out of the two? Or you’ve read both and you don’t know what to read next? I’d say out if the two, The Maze Runner only because I haven’t read Harry Potter, and The Maze Runner was amazing! If you’ve read both, or need any suggestions for AFTER you read them, I suggest Shatter Me or Divergent.

Harry potter is the best… Maze runner is good, more sci fi. Try pendragon, or his dark materials trilogy.
