First two books can be a bit cheesy in writing style but are fantastic. The third book completely changes in plot because a whole world is opened up and the writing style is improved drastically. I love it. It’s my favourite series. It’s similar to LOTR but YA/NA.
@Abbie I’m glad to know that after reading the first one. I wasnt sure I was going to continue the series. It’s a lot like gracling, except Katsa doesnt constantly brag about her skills without ever using them Haha. I mean I enjoyed it, but you’re right, it was a bit cheesy.
@Kristen It was originally written when the author was 16, yes she did rewrite it but it did take years for it to be published. She really has improved a lot. Also read The Assassin’s Blade, most of Celaena’s (as an assassin) character development is in it.
@Kristen Oh and DO NOT look up any of the characters if you don’t like spoilers. Nor look up fan art. You probably can once you finish book two and three but it’s best to hold off on it. I made the mistake of looking Celaena up before I finished book 2 and was very disappointed in myself for doing it. ?
I thoroughly enjoyed them, alot have trouble with the first couple of books, saying they are too mundane, but if you push through them… it’s worth it. I never had that issue.
Loved the first two books but the characters [like different characters] are all kinda the same throughout the entire series. Badass girl, possessive male.
TOP ! Sarah’s writing gets better with every book and she has a great mind for and makes compelling plots. I wish i haven’t red it and can read it for first time now 🙁
Its so good, a friend of mine got me into it and when I read the Assassins Blade (which is like a prequel) I couldn’t put it down, and then I read Throne of Glass, I also couldn’t set it down. Its amazing.
Girllll let me just say I was sooo hesitant of reading this book I did not want to get into the fan book fandom of it I didn’t want to read it. But let’s just say I started assassins blade first which made me love throne of glass and I started February and I’m on book 6th right now haha you willl be hooked just saying
Throne of Glass is my favorite series of all time! However, I’ll admit, it’s not perfect. The first two books have a bit of a slow start. But once it gets going, it really gets amazing.
I didn’t like TOG, but if you stick with the series it just gets better and better. You have to remember that the author was really young when she wrote it….
I started reading it at the beginning of the year but someone spoiled the books for me and told me what was going to happen ?♀️so I couldn’t get into it when I started reading it ?but I’m going to give it another try and just try to enjoy her journey since everybody is talking about how amazing it is I’m just going to pretend that I don’t know how the next few books end ?
I’ve only read the first one and (please don’t attack me) dare I say it is super overrated. I love the ACOTAR books but TOG isn’t anything special, I would put it in the same field as Red Queen (also have only read the first one). I know that it’s her earliest work and her writing for sure has improved but for me it’s just not worth going through a number of books that feel like chores to get to a few good ones (just my opinion) when you could be reading something that’s amazing from start to finish.
YES YES YES tog is like my most favorite series ever, stick with it it gets soooooo good, I’m talkin crying your eyes out at the end of the series because you don’t want it to end good
Loving it so far. Just started Heir of Fire. It’s a lot more gory and violent that I’ve expected though! I had crazy nightmares a few nights ago because I read crown of midnight before bed ??
I really enjoyed it BUT for some reason I can’t get past book 4! I have no reason as to why, I think the storyline is good, character build up and relationships are great but I just keep putting the book down and reading other stuff! I want to know how it ends/ where it leads to next but it’s just isn’t happening for me ?♀️?♀️
@Abbie I have read it previously and started book 5 but I never finished it and don’t know why. Pretty sure I have the whole series I just haven’t finished it haha
@Louise You really need to.. but I’ve been having trouble with the last book because there’s parts in it that are so… dire that I have to put it down and do something else. ? I feel bad because I love the series but it’s too much for me.
@Abbie I’ve tried! Honestly I have! I think I just need to wait a bit and try a again with the series, I have a tendency to read a series right from the beginning again if I left a book in the middle for too long and it’s been like two months since I put the book down. I’ve just started Skyborn and quiet possibly gonna re read Nalini Singh’s psy-changeling series before I do another re read of throne of glass. It won’t take long, a week tops haha

That’s awesome! I knew nothing going into it
@Kristen Oh and DO NOT look up any of the characters if you don’t like spoilers. Nor look up fan art. You probably can once you finish book two and three but it’s best to hold off on it. Celena is the least assassin-y assassin I’ve ever read. All tell and no show.
@Skylar ??
Loved ACOTAR more than TOG, but to be honest, I started enjoying the series on QOS (book 4)
Love love love love love love love. Second all time favorite series
The first two books are meh, but it’s one of my favourite series right now. ?
A top 5 series ever for me.
Also, Maas was in her TEENS when she started writing it. I think that alone is pretty awesome.
Amazing
Loved the first two books but the characters [like different characters] are all kinda the same throughout the entire series. Badass girl, possessive male.
There’s a lot of chandeliers.
So good. Im still getting over it!
INCREDIBLE!!!! It’s an amazing series! The way Maas writes is beautiful. You’re going to hurt so good throughout the series
Definitely one of the book series that can actually beat Harry Potter.

But let’s just say I started assassins blade first which made me love throne of glass and I started February and I’m on book 6th right now haha you willl be hooked just saying
Soooo good? Read it
It’s my favorite series of all time. Besides her ACoTAR series. She is an amazing writer, highly recommended everything she has written!
I loved it more than ACOTAR
Throne of Glass is my favorite series of all time! However, I’ll admit, it’s not perfect. The first two books have a bit of a slow start. But once it gets going, it really gets amazing.
Some of the books were slow to get started but it’s totally worth it!

I mean, did you really not know what the answers were gonna be?!! ?
I didn’t like TOG, but if you stick with the series it just gets better and better. You have to remember that the author was really young when she wrote it….
Brilliant series. ?
Im starting it too!!
This is my favorite book ever but it my start out a little slow but it is definitely worth it
I started reading it at the beginning of the year but someone spoiled the books for me and told me what was going to happen ?♀️so I couldn’t get into it when I started reading it ?but I’m going to give it another try and just try to enjoy her journey since everybody is talking about how amazing it is I’m just going to pretend that I don’t know how the next few books end ?
Every book gets better in my opinion. Wasn’t that fussed with the first one but by book 3 I was hooked and by the end I was obsessed lol
Its an amazing series!! Highly recommend!! ? ❤️
The first book was hard to get through and the half of the second one as well. But after that it was really good.
?????
I loved the first book, struggled with the second and the first half of the third and couldn’t put down the rest. Loved it
Love it ❤️
This series fills me with so many emotions ??
I’ve only read the first one and (please don’t attack me) dare I say it is super overrated. Loving it so far. Just started Heir of Fire. It’s a lot more gory and violent that I’ve expected though! I had crazy nightmares a few nights ago because I read crown of midnight before bed ??
@Charlotte it’s gonna get worse man.. hate to break it to you. The antagonists are a nasty race.
@Abbie thank you for the warning!! ?
@Charlotte Well you’ve already had a taste with the Ridderak.
I really enjoyed it BUT for some reason I can’t get past book 4! I have no reason as to why, I think the storyline is good, character build up and relationships are great but I just keep putting the book down and reading other stuff! I want to know how it ends/ where it leads to next but it’s just isn’t happening for me ?♀️?♀️
@Louise Want me to help? It’s my favourite book in the series. ?
The only chapters that were hard for me are Dorian’s chapters.
