I just finished it the other day. I had never read it, or at least I don’t remember reading. You know old age, loss of memories, etc.,but I adored the book. It was wonderful!
It might have been my first introduction to fantasy and I fell in love. Like today’s children want their Hogwart’s letter…..I wanted Mrs Whatsis to show up on my doorstep!
I really liked it, but felt it was very dated. It was written in the 60’s, set in the 50s? Maybe? But I liked the story and plot, but the writing drove me nuts
I just read it with my book club. It was okay to me. I never read it when I was younger. I think I had built up the hype in my mind, and it didn’t live up.

As a kid it was a favorite. I recently reread it and it was just as fantastic as an adult.
OMG, it was one of my absolute FAVORITE books when I was a kid, I need to re-read it, it’s been years!

It was ok.
I haven’t read it in about 20 years.. but will be reading this week before seeing the movie.
I read it when I was a young teen and I loved it. I have no idea how I’d relate to it now that I’m older.
Yes!
Absolutely loved it as a child, and still re-read it every 10 years or so. 🙂
