Start with Salem’s Lot. It’s early and it’s a good one about vampires taking over a town.

My first SK book was 11/22/63 which is a time travel novel about JFK’s assassination. Really good. If you want something more creepy, then I’d suggest ‘Salem’s Lot

@Makenzie I’d recommend Carrie. A simple yet intriguing short novel.

@Makenzie Hi Makenzie. I just read my first one and I read The Body. It’s very very short maybe 200 pages but I loved it! Totally gave me Goonies or Stranger Things vibes. Pretty simple plot but great characters 🙂 movie based on the book is Stand By Me

I think starting with some of his shorter books would be a good place to start. Misery, The Shining and Carrie are all great reads that aren’t as big of a commitment as IT, Salem’s Lot or The Stand.

I started small to get the feel for his books..
Started with the green mile, then the girl who loved Tom Gordon..
Then into “IT” holy moly that was a huge read, it was a bit of a drag in some bits and couldn’t wait for it to be over!
Personally I prefer his short stories to his bigger 1s..
Currently reading Christine and finding the start a bit of a drag…
