Yes, maybe I shouldn’t pay too much attention to bad reviews as we’re all different ☺

I enjoyed it, but am on book 3 of Holy Island series and quite disappointed, yet they had good reviews. Good job we all have different tastes!

Out of all the good reviews I wouldn’t let just one bad one put you off. I think these books are well written and are good page turners and I never usually enjoy books from the detective’s pov.

I really enjoyed it. A couple parts are a bit disturbing so I can see how someone could not like it but I always read with an open mind.

I don’t think one bad review would put me off, unless it mentioned something it the book which I wouldn’t particularly want to read about.

Ive just bought it after reading on here that everyone else seemed to be reading it, i usually don’t follow the crowd, but i make my own mind up, i decided to go with the crowd on this one though, cos how can that many people be wrong!!!!
I will however still form my own opinion.

I’ve read six of the Helen Grace series so far, loving every one. I’m no literature expert, perhaps the bad reviewer is. If so, I’ll bet he or she doesn’t read page turners, maybe deadly dull tomes. I read purely for pleasure, and I thought Eeny Meeny was a cracker.

Thoroughly enjoyed it . It was the start of a great journey through the series . Each one got better. I’m just gutted that his next book due out in May is not a Helen Grace one.

I hated it and didn’t bother finishing. Love a crime thriller as much as the next person but just left me cold. I’m prepared to accept I’m in a minority!

I just took a look on Amazon US, It does have a very odd style of punctuation where periods are used in place of commas, a few two word sentences and such like. The style is inconsistent and I can see why some types of readers would find this very annoying. Wouldn’t it be nice though if people could phrase their criticism politely?

I didn’t think it was badly written at all. I found Eeny Meeny too violent and didn’t warm to the lead cop but that’s simply personal taste. They’re v popular books and he’s a terrific writer.

That why I don’t read them, the lead cop, glad I am not alone xxx
