I waited years to read these as they were my mum’s favourites and I only got about 6 books as I personally found her so depressing and paranoid so had to stop was heartbroken. But I would definitely recommend reading them in order hope you enjoy them ?
I’ve read all her books. I’ve loved the first half of her series then it sort of got a bit … I’m thinking of the right word… lacking maybe??? Some of her magic wasn’t there?? So, in my opinion, I would suggest starting from the beginning plus it will help you with character knowledge for later books. I will add that she does do a short review of past books in whichever book you’re reading – building on the story – but it’s never the same as reading the book first hand if that makes sense. The Kay Scarpetta series is the first complete series I’ve read and even with the books in the series that didnt keep my attention as well as the first half I still loved them. Enjoy!!
Oh yes I’ve wondered this
Not necessary but it helps because the character develops through the novels and you learn more about her as the novels progress
You can if you want to. I started halfway through considering I read book 18 and now I am on book 3 at the moment.
I would personally as a few things that happen would not make much sense otherwise. Love the series 🙂
Yes. After the first seven or eight books, I found her style changed and I no longer enjoy or read her books.
Me too!!!
Same
Thanks everyone! I’m a little OCD so I’ll start from the beginning xxx

I would.
I would, because there’s a few surprises around the middle of them
