@Sharece I had a Kindle… It stopped working, I want something with Google Play cuz I have books on there also so figured a Nook would be good.

@Sharece no, I don’t…

I would say you could try that! That way you wouldn’t spend money on something you might not like. But that’s just me!

@Sharece will have to look into Nook a bit more but I use Libby mostly… Borrow library books

I’ve owned a nook. I switched to kindle and I prefer it. The kindles software is more user friendly and the device just runs better than my nook ever did. Plus, with BNs sliding sales, I’d be hesitant to buy a nook e-reader. A tablet would be okay but the actual nook ereaders May become obsolete very quickly.

@Megan didn’t think about that… Probably better off getting a new Kindle then lol

@Janet are you wanting an e-reader or a tablet where you can download the apps? I use both. I have a tablet and a kindle paper white. I LOVE my paper white for sure.

@Janet Check out the kindle 7. it’s one of their cheaper tablets and I have had one before and i loved it. my mother-in-law has the Kindle HD8. She loves that as well. It’s just like the Kindle 7 but is a bit bigger.

@Megan I had the Kindle 7, my youngest was using it and it stopped working so idk if she “broke” it or if it was just its time lol

@Janet gotcha! Well I highly recommend the e-ink reader they have. it’s my absolute favorite of their line! Good luck with whatever you decide. Now I will say I read on my iPad mini 4 and use the nook app (if people buy me gift cards for BN as gifts). But i mainly stick to the kindle app on that.

Had/have both and prefer kindle. It just runs better and I find their e-books more affordable.

I had a Nook and it was alright but I switched to Kindle. Amazon offers a lot more, and their ebooks are cheaper than Barnes and Noble. I still have the Nook app on my phone and tablet so I can read books I purchased but I love my kindle paperwhite and thats all I really use now

I’m just saying I seems that a lot of nook books are more expensive then a lot of kindle books

I used to have a Nook. It last six years and it’s still kicking through different countries on our travels.

I had a nook first as I bought it super cheap but I hated it, it wasn’t user friendly and books were expensive.

Used to have a Nook and switched to Kindle like many others here. Books tend to be cheaper on the Kindle store, and the device actually works better.

I have a nook and kindle. But I use my kindle more, books are cheaper. Being an amazon prime member I sometimes get free books to read. I hands down get more for my money on kindle books.
