I’m pretty sure it’s considered a classic. Maybe a modern classic but I’ve been told it’s a classic

It is an excellent book. It is also frightening how realistic some things are today.

totally agree with you, especially that we’re leaving our life using technology which is, by now, overcontrol our minds, not only in one society, but it’s all over the globe. People are oriented today :/

I read it years ago, I believe it was required reading in high school? We had to do a report about it – am seriously thinking about reading it again now, some 30 years later, to see if I have a different take / reaction / feeling about it.

This link may help you brother https://www.sparknotes.com/lit/1984/

@Sian thank you so much, but it’s forbidden for us to use it, our teacher is trying to train us in how to interpret a book by ourselves using some material out of Sparknotes, he’s always saying that “”Sparknotes” is for children” ;D

Sian

I am very sorry, I did not know that. I have read the book and really liked it, do you have any specific questions?

1
MohamedQuestion author

I have read it more than once – last time earlier this year – and it is one of my favourite dystopian books. The main character spends a lot of time contemplating his life before you see any action, but the book is written in a way that it always sucks me in. Despite that, it is an old book it still has a relevant topic ? Though I may be a bit biased about this book since I was born in 1984 ?
