The young elites is a recent series that fits the bill for me. Mainly because of how different the main character is, and how the story is more structured than it is based off of random circumstances

I really enjoy the Throne of Glass series. It is different from most YA books I’ve been reading lately. I also enjoy series that are longer as well.

I would suggest The Lunar Chronicles series by Marissa Meyer. Although, it’s more sci-fi/fantasy than just straight up fantasy. I’d also suggest Heartless by Anne Elisabeth Stengl. It’s the first book in the Tales of Goldstone Wood series. I would suggest the series, but I’ve only read the first book, though I plan on continuing soon. Everything I mentioned is five star. ?
