Uh, habe you read my books? ?
I haven’t read the book yet, but I did see the HBO miniseries of Olive Kitteridge (book by Elizabeth Strout). The series was excellent, and I’ve heard the book is better (of course).
The Promise Between Us by @Barbara is a wonderful, informative story about OCD and a family. You will love Maisy…the little girl that ties everyone together. It comes out in January…I read an ARC. Very good! ?
@Tina probably has some good recommendations
Spoonbenders!

The Hart series by Ella Fox or the neighbor from hell series by rl Mathewson.

Following
“How to Behave in a Crowd”
It was so dysfunctional, so awesome and had six children
Ooo. This looks awesome
It’s from Camille something something
I have a novel that fits (for sure). How to Grow an Addict. http://www.jawright.net/
Ugh, sorry about the emoji. Cat bumped me as I was typing and I couldn’t get it removed on the iPhone app. For dysfunction (but sad, not funny) in families I would recommend Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng.
Amazing book.
Flowers in the Attic series.
Love those books!
Me too. I reread them a few years ago. Definitely a messed up family in those books. Lol
The original books that were written by VC Andrews were awesome. I hated that a ghost writer kept writing under her name later after her death.
Funny my mom & I were just talking about those books at Thanksgiving!
All VC Andrews books had dysfunctional families.
,
The Sunshine Sisters by Jane Green fits the bill and is so so good.
Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng. Brilliant dysfunctional family novel.
Truly dysfunctional! It was so sad.
As well as her newest, Little Fires Everywhere.
This was so dysfunctional and so sad! Read it last month
Loved that book so much I had to write a review for Amazon and Goodreads.
Without Merit by Colleen Hoover!
Karen Rock has a new series. The youngest has passed due to his addiction. “Rocky Mountain Cowboys”
Etched in sand by Regina calcaterra. This is a true story. She collaborated with her sister for a second book called girl unbroken for her sisters story. Unbelievable story. It’s a must read!
@Diana ‘s Things Unsaid just went to audio and is full of dysfunction!
Oh cool. I’ve been interested in reading this. Thanks for the reminder.
Thank you, @Nicole and @Lisa
Running With Scissors is beyond dysfunctional! It really bothered me! Glass Castle is dysfunctional but a great book. The Nest is another one that comes to mind.
I did really enjoy The Nest… and it’s exactly what you described.
Not a novel, but The Glass Castle.
Hate to toot own horn but The fam in THE FIFTH OF JULY is so dysfunctional I am featuring dysfunctional families for #dysfunctionalfridays
You can too here anytime, @Kelly ;p

The Family Fang by Kevin Wilson
Geek Love by Katherine Dunn?
The Perfect Son, Echoes of The Family, and Barbara Claypole White has 2 other titles and a new book out in January. It is called The Promise of Us,due out in January.
Yup, that’s my thing. (Hopeful family drama with a healthy dose of mental illness.)
Two more : Seven Days of Us by Francesca Hornak and The Wangs vs. the World by Jade Chang. They’re both terrific!
Without Merit by @Colleen has a pretty dysfunctional family
