Oh so many! Iāve got one library book, one kindle book, 2 audiobooks going…and I always leave one in my car in case I forget one and my phone battery is low and I canāt use my kindle app. Never without a book (or 2…or 3…or 4…) within eyesight
More than I’m willing to admit. Since I happen to get bored too easily, I give up and now I’m a less-than-proud owner of a collection of half-read books.
2-3 plus an audiobook. They are all different though. I may be listening to a bible study and reading historical fiction and reading a healthy eating book.
I usually have 1 on kindle/ but sometimes I flick to others at night if itās not working.. 1 for the bath/ 1 for other occasions and sometimes a spare or 2 Iām rereading!!
I used to be a one-book-at-a-time person, but now I usually consume three at a time: one paper book, one on my Kindle app (to make sure I always have my book with me) and one that I listen to on audio. It works as long as the three books are very different from one another. For example, I’m currently reading The Art of Fielding on paper (novel about baseball), reading Children of Blood and Bone on Kindle (afrofuturist YA fantasy), and listening to The Heart Goes Last on Audible (dystopian).
If I didn’t have as much time to read as I do right now (I’m an educator and it’s summer), I would have to limit it to one or two because I would otherwise lose the thread of the narratives.
1…Lol! My brain is dead by the end of the day when I finally get to pick up a book! So, 1 and 1 only! My mom on the other hand, she can read up to 6 at a time and not cross storylines! No clue how she, or anyone else ever pulls that off!
I thought Iād only be able to read one book every couple weeks but Iāve been reading consistently since May and have read 5 books so Iām averaging a book a week. I usually get 2 books at a time since we are allowed to keep them for three weeks at a time.
I currently have 3 going on my kindle, 2 audio, and 2 that were downloaded on my computer. I listen to audio while I work but which I choose depend on my mood in every situation which is why I have so many going. I am the same way with binge watching shows.
3-5 (I know it’s bad but *hear* me out). I have them on separate places to read. I don’t put them on my phone because I only use my phone to make phone calls and get SMS. But I use: Kindle/Laptop/Desktop/Audio/Nook/oldKindles/ and I like to work on different ones especially in the summer!
Just 1, my only exception is if I am not enjoying a book then I start another alongside it because I finish every book. Sometimes Iām glad I didnāt give up, sometimes I regret it! But I donāt ever have to wonder.
Usually 2, a biggish one at home and a smallish one for work/commuting
2-3 at any time. Usually one fiction and one non fiction.
Depends…
On what?
Actually if it is a serial killer fiction or not I will read it till the end, but if I am reading other kinds…. 3 or 4 books at once ?
Oh, okay.
All of them āŗļø
I always have two going, one physical or ebook and one audiobook. They have to be two completely different genres or Iāll get confused ?
Usually 3. An ebook, a physical book, an audio book.
I do exactly this.
2

One.
2-3
PRefear one, it starts to irritate me if I take too long to finish a book
Right now four – too many.
I’m pretty much a one at a time reader.
One for me. I read faster and absorb the story best that way.
I usually just read one at a time but I’ve decided to try reading 2 since I got a little bored with the one I was reading.
2-3
1 or 2 but if 2 1 has to be nonfiction.
2-3
Two is my limit otherwise I lose the thread. And it is better in one is fiction and one is non fiction. That works best for me.
1
2. Usually an ebook and a physical copy.
Usually 1 if the book is good… currently I have 3
Car book- in case I get stuck somewhere and need a book
Work bag book- for solitary lunches
Bed book
I usually have 1 on kindle/ but sometimes I flick to others at night if itās not working.. 1 for the bath/ 1 for other occasions and sometimes a spare or 2 Iām rereading!!
2 at most and then only if one is very long and very different from the other, like a fiction and nonfiction.
2. 1 physical book or ebook and 1 audiobook.
1
1 or I get confused

Usually 2…one “real” and one on my iPad.
2
1
2
Always 2āone audio, one print. Sometimes 2 prints.
I only have enough attention for 1.
1…Lol! My brain is dead by the end of the day when I finally get to pick up a book! So, 1 and 1 only!
My mom on the other hand, she can read up to 6 at a time and not cross storylines! No clue how she, or anyone else ever pulls that off!
1
3.
One, so I can savor every word.
Usually 3-4. Car, going to bed audio books (best that they aren’t the same), a nook book, a book book.
1
1 at a time for me.
I thought Iād only be able to read one book every couple weeks but Iāve been reading consistently since May and have read 5 books so Iām averaging a book a week. I usually get 2 books at a time since we are allowed to keep them for three weeks at a time.
Usually I have one novel and 2-3 non-fiction books going.
2 or 3
Usually 2 one fiction the other nonfiction.
2 one book and one audio
1 but I can juggle 3. 1 of them being an audiobook
4-10
One at a time only. I get them mixed up if I read more than that.
One at a time!
2
1. Any more and I feel like I’m cheating on a book.
A fiction and nonfiction book, an audiobook and a Christian living…so 4.
About a dozen
Usually 2-3 paperbacks and 2-3 audio. So, 4-6. Plus, I read to my kids and they each pick their own book (so, another 4 of kid/teen books)
Sometimes, I have 2 going, one fiction and one non-fiction.
About 2-4. I have an ebook for night reading before bed; an audiobook for the car; and maybe one or two for daytime reads
I currently have 3 going on my kindle, 2 audio, and 2 that were downloaded on my computer. I listen to audio while I work but which I choose depend on my mood in every situation which is why I have so many going. I am the same way with binge watching shows.
One at home and one on my phone.
Whatever feels rightāŗļøāŗļø
Read 2 and listen to one.
1
3-4
3-5 (I know it’s bad but *hear* me out). I have them on separate places to read. I don’t put them on my phone because I only use my phone to make phone calls and get SMS. But I use: Kindle/Laptop/Desktop/Audio/Nook/oldKindles/ and I like to work on different ones especially in the summer!

My comment earlier is like @Gene I channel surf, I book surf! I also real surf! (ocean with the sharks!) I like to live life dangerously…
3,sometimes 4 ?
Just 1, my only exception is if I am not enjoying a book then I start another alongside it because I finish every book. Sometimes Iām glad I didnāt give up, sometimes I regret it! But I donāt ever have to wonder.
One and one only ,so much absorb into the current reading.
Only 1 at a time.
1-2
I switch between 2 books
4-5
Just one. As a new mom even one is more than I can handle sometimes lol
I like to switch between a fiction and a non fiction. One will be Kindle and the other will be a physical copy.
4-5
1
2 or 3
ONE. Starting a new book while reading one would make me feel I am betraying my current book.
2. one audio and one actual book
same for me!
One
Usually 3: one fiction, one non-fiction and audiobook for cR
Usually 2 or 3, but a mix of genres. Currently reading The Bird Box, The Talented Mr. Ripley, and Middlemarch.
3-4
A book in every room – so seven!
I read two, usually. One I only read a chapter a week because it is for a Progressive Christianity book group I am in.
2-3
2. One fiction, one non fiction.
1-2. I need to finish what I started more than juggling a ton of books. Usually a pairing of a large series, and a short standalone
2 or 3. I have one next to my chair, and one in my car for those times I need to wait and forget to grab the one next to my chair š
Just the one for me
one is enough for me
3 usually
At least two.
1
2 print 1 audio
One
2 to 4
I’ve usually got 2 print books going (fiction and non-fiction), one audiobook, and possibly an ebook or two.
Two to three
Usually 2, especially if 1 is long.
Generally 2. One I’m reading, and one I’m listening to in the car.
Just one usually
3-12, depending… Currently it’s 6.
1-3 at a time. Sometimes I need a super boring book to read while falling asleep.
I have 5 here on my desk that I’m reading right noww
2-4. Iām currently reading 3
I’m currently reading 4 and listening to 1 in the car.
Two, maybe three.
At least two, or three, usually one fiction, one nonfiction and one audiobook…
Two or three if one is really long.
Usually 3 or 4.. 1 audio, fiction, non fiction, and short stories.
At least two – an audio in the car and one on my Kindle
Prefer to read just the 1 but usually between 3 and 4
One. I like to get lost in a book and complete it before moving on.
