I have not, but I have heard of them. Are they good?
Try the Elvenbane series. Very compelling
She has a vast array of titles and series and I have enjoyed every one so far. A bit along the lines of Pierce in fierce feminine roles and not formulaic storylines.
I like the Herald books myself, but everything of hers I have read I have liked
I like her 500 Kingdoms and Elemental Masters series
Did you read the Circle Opens as well?
Yeah, but i didn’t like that world as much.
My favourite is the Lady Knight series – go Kel!

I found some similarities between Tortall and Shadowfell by Juliet Marillier. There are others of hers I love, but they’re not so similar. I also saw some similarities in Green Rider by Kristen Britain. Good world building, they both have female main characters and a touch of magic
A YA author in a similar vein is Theresa Tomlinson, and I can second Maria V Snyder, although It’s a long time since I’ve read them. You might like Graceling, although I didn’t. I’ve sent for one called Touch of Power that I’m excited about
Try Trudi Canavan’s Black Magician books. There is a prequel called “The Magician’s Apprentice”.
Love the Tamora books. My most read. Jeff Wheeler the kings fountain series is brilliant. X
Smack in the middle of the night angel trilogy and I’m in love
Sharon Shinn is a good next step. Archangel or Mystic and Rider are both good choices.
